@Hadithoftheday Surah Baqarah (Chapter 2 of Qur'an).

Allah says in Qur'an:
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous" - (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183)
@Hadithoftheday Allah in Surah Baqarah of Glorious Qur'an makes it clear that fasting was ordained compulsory on all Muslims and that Muslims have to fast if they are to stay righteous.

Allah says in Qur'an:
"Allah is with those who restrain themselves." -(Quran 16:128)
@Hadithoftheday Fasting was prescribed to previous nations too (before nation of Prophet ﷺ) as Allah says in Surah Baqarah:
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous "
(Qur'an. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 183)
@Hadithoftheday Prophet Musa A.S fasted for 40 days and 40 nights when he was waiting for the revelation on the mountain of Sinai. It was after the period of fasting that Torah was revealed to Prophet Musa A.S.
@Hadithoftheday Prophet Isa A.S fasted for 40 days before he received the Gospel.
Fasting has been a gateway to the spiritual world for the prophets and a means to communicate with Allah. The act of fasting is closely associated with spirituality.
@Hadithoftheday Dawood A.S used to fast too.
He used to fast on alternate days.
Narrated Abdullah bin Amr: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said to me, "The most beloved fasting to Allah was the fasting of the Prophet Dawood who used to fast on alternate days. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3420)
@Hadithoftheday Fasting is like a school that teaches forbearance, patience and sincerity. It promotes good attitudes and virtuous words and actions.
@Hadithoftheday Qur'an was revealed in the Month of Ramadan.
Allah says in Qur'an:
"The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion."
(Qur'an. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 185)
@Hadithoftheday Allah revealed Quran in Night of Al-Qadr i.e Night of Decree. Night of Decree is in Ramadan.
Allah says in Qur'an:
"Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree."
(Qur'an. Al-Qadr 97: Verse 1)
@Hadithoftheday Ramadan is a gift from Allah and an opportunity for Muslims to capitalize on and earn His blessings and a way to seek salvation and forgiveness.
@Hadithoftheday Abu Huraira narrated: Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven (Bukhari)
@Hadithoftheday Abu Hurairah R.A related that the Prophet ﷺ said: “If anyone omits his fast even for one day in Ramadan without a concession or without being ill, then if he were to fast for the rest of his life he could not make up for it.” (Bukhari)

@Hadithoftheday Taqwa (Piety).
Allah says in Qur'an:
“O You who believe! Fasting is prescribed upon you as it was prescribed on those before you so that you may attain Taqwa”  Qur'an – [2:183]
@Hadithoftheday Taqwa is consciousness of Allah.
Fasting is one of the best ways to attain Taqwa.
Taqwa, is a means of getting closer to Allah spiritually.
It strengthens a Muslim’s belief and enables him to become a better human being
@Hadithoftheday The purpose of fasting is not to make us hungry and thirsty, or to deprive us some of our comfort and conveniences. The real purpose of fasting is that we learn taqwa.
Taqwa is highly emphasized in the Qur’an and Sunnah. There are numerous verses in the Qur’an on taqwa

@Hadithoftheday Before Eid Salah.
Zakat Al-Fitr is due before Eid prayer.
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet ﷺ ordered it (Zakat-Al-Fitr) to be given before people go out for the Eid prayer. ( Bukhari 1503, Muslim 986)
@Hadithoftheday Zakat ul-Fitr, is an obligatory charitable donation all Muslims are required to make during Ramadan.
Zakat ul-Fitr is also called as Fitrana.

The Zakat ul-Fitr amount is calculated on the basis of the current price of a staple food, equivalent to a specific weight.
@Hadithoftheday Zakat al-fitr must be given on behalf of all Muslims, young and old, male and female, free and slave.
With regard to a foetus, it is not obligatory to give it on his behalf according to scholarly consensus, but it is mustahabb, because Uthman R.A did that.

@Hadithoftheday No.
Narrated Abu Hurairah R.A:

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk, has been given to him by Allah." - (Sahih al-Bukhari 1933)
@Hadithoftheday Fast is still considered valid as long as you stop as soon as you realise. Our deen is so beautiful and easy.
@Hadithoftheday When a person unintentionally eats or drinks, the fast is still valid.
Allah says in Qur'an:

And there is no sin on you if you make a mistake therein, except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful [33:5]

@Hadithoftheday Seventy years.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri R.A reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever fasts a day in the way of Allah, Allah will move his face away from the Hellfire by a distance of seventy years.”

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī،, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday The Fasting Person is far from Hell.
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah R.A, Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ said:

"Whoever fasts one day for the acceptance of Allah, Allah keeps his/her face seventy years away from Hell in return for this one day." (Nasai)
@Hadithoftheday Ramadan is the Salvation from Hell.
Narrated of Abu Darda R.A, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever fasts one day for the acceptance of Allah, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah creates a gap between him and Hell, as wide as the heavens and the earth."
(Tirmidhi)

@Hadithoftheday No.
Fasting is for Allah and he shall reward for it.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah R.A: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah said: ‘Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward for it…’” (Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday No one can see when a person is fasting except Allah, so Allah connected it to Himself.
Hence Allah says, “He gives up his desire for My sake.”.
All acts of worship can be seen when done, and they may be contaminated with some element of showing off, unlike fasting.
@Hadithoftheday Allah is the only One who knows the extent of reward & how much good deeds of a person will be multiplied
The amount of reward for good deeds may become known to people & they will be rewarded between ten & 700 fold except fasting, for Allah will reward it without measure

"Effective and logical way of completing whole Qur'an with ease".
For Those who desire to complete their recitation of the 'Quran' within a certain time frame :

Qur'an is divided into 30 even parts called Juz or Para.
If one recites a Juz each day, he/she will complete the entire Qur'an in 30 days.

There are many ways by which one can complete each para in a day.
