How would an entrepreneur likely think if he/she/they were elected to run India? 🇮🇳
(A thread)
I strongly believe that by the 2030s we will witness start up personnel take part in politics.
Primarily because the fast progressing youth of this country needs a voice.
And it needs its own leaders.
Make money first, earn clout first...
Then ELEVATE India.
I am non aligned when it comes to politics.
Neither am I for the government in power, neither am I for the opposition (because there is none that is worthy or strong)
Here’s how I believe entrepreneurs would have handled India if they were given the power to do so
Firstly, build a cabinet that consists of experts.
For reference, let’s study the Canadian ‘cabinet’
When building a team, select specialist superstars.
Not just someone that you collaborated with on the way to reaching the top.
Secondly, establish a new format for “opposition”
A committee whose sole responsibility is to call out your flaws and mistakes.
Their job is to give you positive & negative feedback about your work as a government
For example, take a look at this :-
3rd, create an organisation or a ‘unit’ whose responsibility is to work with young entrepreneurs (under 40). This will fast track their journey from business to politics.
Ensure there’s an inflow of new, modern leaders in politics, REGULARLY.
Competition leads to excellence.
4th, create a sub unit of the government whose sole job is to research and develop products related to FUTURE TECHNOLOGY.
AI, blockchain, biohacking, AR.
As we can see with the #IndiaWantsCrypto movement, we are far behind the rest of the world when it comes to tech.
Thanks to these upcoming tech advancements, the whole world is going to be completely shaken up.
We must be prepared (and more) for the near future.
Eg :
To create money transparency (and to aid in ending corruption), the govt must act fast on creating crypto regulations.
5th - Data based investments.
Should we invest in agriculture?
Or more in education?
Or in tech for that matter?
The answers lie in studying the numbers (data) of countries that do it better than us - Scandinavian countries, USA,Japan. What are TRUE WORLD LEADERS doing right?
6th - Overhaul the education system.
- EdTech is doing this anyway.
- Focus on skills rather than rote learning.
- Focus on critical thinking.
- Bring back game changing elements from India’s ancient Gurukul system - example : Aanvikshiki (subject of critical thinking)
7th - Restructuring of policy making and governance in general.
The best leaders work with agility.
There’s a reason that Israel and New Zealand are almost covid free today.
Small countries are agile.
AGILITY should be incorporated into our governance, through restructuring
8th - A 1.5 year worldwide pandemic should have pushed our government into execution mode.
Healthcare should have been invested in since the start of the pandemic.
If resources had been fuelled towards oxygen plants, ambulances & hospitals, we’d be in a happier country today.
9th - If armed forces personnel can’t be a part of the cabinet for some reason, they should be a part of governance in some form.
Solution oriented, leadership oriented and built for crisis management.
I’d rather have my country run by soldiers than old men who chase money.
Of course, all this is theoretical.
Not right wing or left wing.
We need to give rise to a new political school of thought - That is action oriented.
Why should there be 2 polarising thought processes?
Why can’t we adopt the best of both worlds and create a POWERFUL India?
Changes will take place when 80s born, 90s born and 2000s born Indians will be running the show.
Massive land area.
Massive population.
Massive cultural spirit.
Let’s sustainably build industries.
Let’s elevate the right leaders.
Let’s learn from the highlights (and failures) of our great history.

(A thread)
Video content is the past, present & future.
Golden rule of social media : People gravitate towards HUMANS & their stories.
The easiest way to attach people to your journey is COMMUNICATION through video.
If you cant come on screen, at least use voice. Video>Photo>Written.
From day 1 :
- Wrote down ALL ideas on paper (content pieces, growth strategies, future targets)
- Decided to expand my team, whenever my income allowed me to.
- Make. Money. First.
Don't just rely on YouTube income or brands for money. You may also provide SERVICES to fans.
The bitter truth about content creation as a career.

Along the way, I decided to co-found a talent management company called Monk Entertainment (@MonkEtweets)
Why? Because in 2017, my industry was highly disorganized. And frankly I needed some help with my backend (accounts, brand deals, invoices, events, PR)
