NBA MVP Trophies : 4
NBA All Star Appearances : 16

Born Dec 30th 1984, to 16 y.o. Gloria James.

His father abandoned the family before his birth.

Gloria lived off of public welfare and Lebron had to endure a tough childhood. Constantly moving between dangerous, impoverished neighbourhoods Image
His athletic capabilities were soon discovered by local scouts in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

Gloria allowed LeBron to move in with one Frank Walker, a youth football coach.

Frank introduced Lebron to the game of basketball at age 9. Image
A teenage Lebron along with 3 of his friends (Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce, and Willie McGee) formed a local 'Fab 4'

They dominated youth tournaments and collectively decided to attend St. Vincent - St. Mary High School.

The team dominated and LeBron received national attention. Image
James received multiple individual accolades, won multiple tournaments and even signed endorsement deals. While still in high school.

Adidas was about to offer him a 10 year 100m $ contract. The offer was cut to 70m at the last minute.

LeBron then signed with Nike for 90m$ Image
In 2003, he was the most hyped up Basketball prospect ever.

He was selected 1st overall by his hometown's team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

At the time, Cleveland was one of the weakest teams in the league

Some of his early teammates even suggested that he maybe 'overrated' Image
Cleveland's record in the previous season was 17 wins - 65 losses.

In LeBron's first season, they finished with a record of 35 wins - 47 losses.

LeBron won the Rookie Of The Year (Trophy for the best debutant)

The next season, LeBron James was voted to become an All Star.

He made a mark with his unique 'Team First' style of playing

Star players in that era were often known to single handedly win games by scoring themselves.

LeBron focussed equally on scoring and assisting

In 2006, Cleveland made it to the playoffs for the first time in 8 years.

In 2008, Cleveland created a franchise record for the season with 66 wins and only 16 losses.

In 2009, James became the first Cavalier ever to win the NBA's Most Valuable Player award.

2nd MVP in 2010.
During this period, off the court LeBron formed an inner circle that included Maverick Carter, Rich Paul and Randy Mims. This group is today famously known as LMLR Marketing.

Mav Carter became LeBron's business head
Rich Paul became his agent.
Randy Mims became chief of staff. Image
LeBron carried his 'team-first' mentality off the court as well. Endorsements, business ventures and brand reputation grew.

But unfortunately, on the court his efforts weren't enough to secure a title for the Cavs. Primarily because the players around him weren't good enough Image
In 2010, at the end of LeBron's Cleveland contract term, LMLR Marketing played a role in creating 'The Decision'

A Live TV special where LeBron would announce his future to the world.

Would he stay with Cleveland? Or would he leave his hometown club to win a championship?
LeBron chose to join his long time friends (and fellow superstar players) Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh in Miami.

They came to be known as the Big 3 of the Miami Heat.

Cleveland turned its back on LeBron. He became the most 'hated' player in the league. Image
Miami Heat went on to lose in the NBA finals of that year.

Miami began that season with a poor 9 wins - 8 losses record that season. In hindsight, James attributed this to his sense of 'playing with anger'

In the finals, he was shut out by an experienced Dallas Mavs team. Image
The next season was a bounceback.

In his own words, he shed off 'embracing the villain role' from the earlier season.

He worked on his interior scoring game, a weakness which was exposed by the Dallas Mavericks in the previous season

Bron won his 1st championship and 3rd MVP. Image
Miami's Big 3 won another championship in the following season but could not win 3 in a row.

On June 25th 2014, LeBron chose not to renew his contract with the Miami Heat.

After 2 championships & 2 more MVPs, now it was time for LeBron James' real challenge. Image
LeBron re-joined a weak Cleveland Cavs team in a heroic return to his hometown

The Cavs had endured their worst phase ever with a 97 wins-215 losses in the 4 seasons without Bron

LeBron was back to win the Cavs their 1st championship in 52 years

His return was widely applauded
Cleveland had a young potential superstar called Kyrie Irving.

LeBron's star power was enough to attract another star player named Kevin Love to the squad.

The 3 stars formed a powerful trio. But over the next 4 years, they'd battle it out with another legendary trio at GSW. Image
The Golden State Warriors from San Francisco were spearheaded by Steph Curry.

A player who is widely regarded as the greatest long distance shooter (3 point scorer) of the basketball.

GSW beat Cleveland to win the championship. Image
In the 2015-16 season, the Cavs faced GSW in the finals once again.

After starting the finals with 3 losses and 1 win, the team won 3 games back to back (Best of 7 series).

LeBron led Cleveland to it's 1st championship in 52 years.

He considers this his most important moment Image
After his 3rd championship win, Bron drew serious comparisons to the man who is considered the greatest of all time - Michael Jordan.

Unfortunately the next 2 seasons were headlined by controversy.

Rumours suggested that the Cavs management and LeBron didn't get along... again.
As many people have often said, 'Cleveland Cavs were sh*t before LeBron came and sh*t after LeBron left.'

LeBron's departure from the Cavs saw their valuation drop from $476M to $355M in 2010

His arrival saw Cleveland's employment rate rise by 24%.

He is MORE THAN AN ATHLETE Image
During his 2nd stint in Cleveland, LeBron along with his inner circle worked on creating the 'I Promise' School & Program for 1300+ children from underprivileged Ohio communities.

Knowing LeBron James' track record, this is the first of many such philanthropic projects. Image
In 2018, a 33 year old LeBron signed with the biggest brand in team basketball - The LA Lakers.

The Lakers had been on a downward trajectory for the last decade.

Considering that his LMLR Marketing 'entourage' is based in LA, this transfer was widely regarded as 'business' move
After a 2018 season that saw James miss the playoffs (and All NBA 1st Team) for the first time in 12 years, 2019 saw the arrival of superstar Anthony Davis to the Lakers.

Davis and James are now considered to be the deadliest NBA duo leading a potential championship team. Image
Off the court, LMLR Marketing is growing fast

In 2014, LBJ expressed his desire to become a billionaire

His inner circle is working towards that dream while fuelling multiple businesses

LeBron himself is mentored by Warren Buffet who has publicly backed Bron's business acumen Image
Rich Paul runs Klutch Sports, an agency that represents many NBA superstars.

Mac Carter has engineered many of Bron's deals over the years. And continues to create multiple businesses with LeBron.

Randy Mims is today a member of the Lakers "Front Office" or management. Image
LeBron James' $450 M empire is only growing.

But what's most fascinating about the man is his durability over his 17 year NBA career.

While most athletes start declining during their early 30s, James is currently having one of his best seasons.
He attributes his legendary career, durability, empire and performance to

- Teamwork
- Discipline
- Family values
- Hard work

This is why LeBron is my all time greatest idols.

I hope his story gives you the same kind of motivation it gives me every day.
