of the time, auto burns too much ammunition. Semi-automatic weapons have been used by civilians for over a 100 years. The first mass shooting I member were done by people with bolt action rifles acting as snipers and illegally obtained weapons.
Now we have to with AR-15 type weapons that use the .223 AKA 5.56mm X 45mm. these shells fire a lite weight high-velocity bullet that has radically tumbles in the body and deflects easily and produce a low recoil for the shooter.
What means is it can be used for rapid-fire much more so than other semi-auto rifles and it is quick to re-aim the weapon. The .223 should be used by the public and should be replaced as a military round. @threadreaderapp unroll
