All senior citizens in #Mumbai r kindly requested nt 2 crowd or stand in long queues @ #vaccination centres.Vaccine is in short supply just for now & so nt available @ all places in enough quantity. But be rest assured dat all 45+ years citizens wil eventually get vaccinated. 1/n
Even when new drive for 18-44 year age group starts, the centres available now will continue to remain active for 45+ years citizens. BMC will add at least 500 more public & Pvt CVCs fr new drive. So vaccination for 45+ shall not be compromised OR slowed down. 2/n
Besides, vaccination for the new age group will start only after enough vaccines are made available, and not exactly on 1st May. So senior citizens need not worry that once the new drive starts they will be deprived of vaccination. 3/n
Those who have taken their 1st dose are reasonably protected. Even if there is a slight delay in getting their 2nd dose that should not be a major problem. Senior citizens should not get scared because of that. 4/n
Please wait till we have adequate vaccine stock and you can get your jab without having to stand in long queues. We will continue to put out more details. Pl take care. Wear #DoubleMask at vaccination centres. #StaySafe. #DoubleMask@mybmc@AUThackeray@KishoriPednekar 5/n

Mumbai Metro 1 carries 4 lakh passengers everyday & reduce their travel time from 70 mnts to 17 mnts. Had these passengers travlled by road, what would hv happened? Only 1 Metro line cannot suffice the public transport need of the city. #AareyAikaNa
Mumbai city desperately needs enhancement of its rail based public transport network. Suburban railways carry 80 lakh passengers per day. Once Metro network is commissioned it would carry about 45 lakh people by 2031 and 1 cr people by 2041 as per MMRDA CTS.#AareyAikaNa
Inadequate and hence unsafe public transport infrastructure of today has enabled huge rise in private vehicles, app based taxies and most importantly two wheelers in the city which r chocking the roads and air of the city. #AareyAikaNa
