1/10 Our #CRISPresearch team worked w/ @polisiupui to analyze the @uwci's Great Families 2020 initiative. #GF2020 uses a #2Gen approach to help parents/caregivers & their young children.

2/10 The analysis of the #GF2020 program has spanned the past five years. In that time, we found that the program served 734 families in five Indianapolis neighborhoods. Those families were made up of 789 adults and 1,121 children.

3/10 In our #GF2020 initiative analysis, we took a closer look at the 789 adult participants. Their median household income was about $10,000/year. The vast majority were women, and their median age was 29 years old.

4/10 Many survey respondents who participated in the employment coaching provided in the #GF2020 program had positive things to say about the coaching and its impact on their employment search.

5/10 Most survey respondents for the #GF2020 program said financial coaching was beneficial. The vast majority of them reported improvements in their abilities to follow a budget, manage debt, and save money each month.

7/10 When looking at recommendations related to workforce policy, #CRISPresearch examined the IMPACT system, TANF benefits, and the critical need for public transportation to help caregivers find and keep a job. #GF2020

8/10 In our #GF2020 policy recommendations, we looked at #mentalhealth issues. This topic touches on several different areas, including service cost, gov't funding, addressing stigma, & ensuring there is a family-centered approach.

9/10 #CRISPresearch analysts recommend increasing Early Childhood Education funding to improve quality of care & expand accessibility. They recommend easing #ECE voucher criteria to ensure families don't lose benefits as pay changes.

2/10 🧵There were 4 key findings in our #CRISPresearch report on #TownshipAssistance. They focused on interpretation of state guidelines, requests for help, value of the benefits, and what % of available funds each township distributed.
