Looking for a good luthier/guitar repair person in the DMV area. I need a fairly extensive service and I want someone trustworthy. DMs are open.🎸
My guitar has a weird story behind it. It's a Generation X from @warrior_guitars - a limited run of 500 they sold through Sam Ash in 2006 (mine is #002). There's almost no info about it anywhere online, which is also why I want someone good to work on it.
I love it so much but it needs some work. Potentially some hardware replacements.
I was super into Guitar Player magazine at the time and the Warrior ads always got me so hard, and right when I was looking to buy a guitar they announce this run and Sam Ash was where I was going to go anyway. Serendipity. It was the one in Times Square.
Don't get me wrong, I would never say no to a PRS, but this feels slightly more individualistic than a PRS. It's a conversation piece lol
Oh it wasn't super expensive when I bought it. It was by far the only Warrior I could afford lol. I was happy to walk away with a hand built guitar with active pickups for 2k or thereabouts. That's why I don't mind replacing hardware.
I hope we're all clear on the fact that if FDR had interned African Americans rather than Japanese Americans, no one on the left would speak about him with the reverence that they do.
Wrong. Because African Americans are AMERICANS and Japanese Americans are AMERICANS.
Been talking a bunch lately about avoiding Amazon for stuff that matters. If you need anything audio/music related, I can't recommend @SweetwaterSound enough. Same prices, they FedEx everything, and they assign you a sales associate that will help you with whatever you need.
Needless to say their selection is better geared (heh) to the pro-audio market, and best of all, it isn't flooded with cheapo Chinese brands that Amazon owns and make it really hard to distinguish actual good gear from Amazon moving bulk merchandise.
Some other Amazon alternatives that I like: @animetoday for anime stuff @Wayfair for furniture and other home things @Chewy for pet supplies @Etsy if I need anything decorative or a gift @eBay for obscure stuff like the Firewire 4.0 charger I ordered for my old 3rd gen iPod.
One of the most bullshit things about the WinterFalcon finale is Karli beating Walker in hand to hand combat. They both have the serum so that's a wash. He's much larger and he's the most decorated special forces soldier ever. It wouldn't have been close. But scary villain!
It's why I love Walker so much. It's like the god of the universe he lives in wants you to dislike him but all he does is try cheap tricks to achieve it and you end up still liking Walker anyway.
Just want to add to this that Wyatt Russell twitching all the time felt like a really cheap trick to make him seem unhinged, but if you listen to what he says or see what he does, it just doesn't track. It's like the creator was afraid that he seemed too rational without it lol
Covid is low risk for young and healthy people. So is the vaccine. Since the latter also lowers the risk of the former even more, choosing to chance it with covid is illogical and poor risk assessment.
"But we don't know the long term impact of the vaccine."
We don't know the long term impact of covid either. One is a disease. The other is medicine. This is an easy choice.
This is why I didn't give a shit about Lindsay Ellis' video. Oh wow the exact thing that you spent the better part of a decade hand waving as just desserts for VERY BAD PEOPLE and lol poor Freeze Peach snowflakes finally happened to you? This is my sympathetic face. 😐
It's pretty convenient that 5 minutes after you start bearing the cost it's suddenly not worth the cost anymore.
