May Day march from the SE waterfront to the ICE building has kicked off in Portland.
Before the march began there was a small rally with chanting and speeches talking about migrant labor rights and immigration rights.
The May Day migrant march has made it onto the Tillicum bridge where there are currently more speeches happening.
A May Day car caravan is also headed to the ICE building and will meet up with the marchers.

Over a dozen DHS and federal protective service vehicles pull in to the ICE building in Portland. Federal agents fill the street.
May Day in Portland. About two dozen more cars full of DHS officers have arrived.
Some of the feds fall back and drive off, other back up into the ICE drive away.
Announcement from the Federal Protective Service via loudspeaker. They explain the ICE facility is closed and anyone who trespasses on federal property will be subject to arrest.

May Day rally in Holladay Park Portland Oregon in support of the Pro Act. The Pro Act is the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, it would be a massive win for labor organizers and unions.

The glass door gets smashed and DHS agents unload pepper balls into the crowd.
After trying to extinguish the fire DHS agents headed back into the building. The fire grows once again.
Unacceptable harassment and intimidation from the city and Police out of the fear of accountability. Portland Police still operates as a secret police force, and they are attempting to punish those who seek to have it not be.
