At the casino for the 1st time in 2 years and there is an active shooter here. Somewhere. Don’t know where .

Overhead announcements keep saying shelter in place ~ have a chair against door . Old lady in room with me

Cops are making announcements overhead. It’s fucking dead silent in this place and pitch dark.

Keep hearing yelling. Just called the PD to tell them where we hiding. Back room by coolers , sports bar

Husband is now snoring away. Learning the shooting was right outside the bar area I was in. Heard shooter was killed & 2 others, a few injured. There’s metal detectors & security there. This gun obsessed US needs changing. Need animal pics. Real bad. ❤️

I’d like to invite someone from the NRA to Follow me around for a week while I do my shift as an ER/Trauma MD. I’d like to have them go into that “dreaded room” with me,The room where we tell a parent that we did all we could for their child, but we could not save their lives.

I’m a Doctor.
For 16 years now. Have a degree in emergency/trauma med. So not a pediatrician, but I’m equipped to take care of pediatrics. I called DHS today, to find out how I can volunteer at any of the shelters. I was told by James Groth- I was too qualified. Too qualified?

How can I be too qualified – to take care of the medical needs of anyone. I didn’t ask for money – I didn’t ask for transportation. I asked to volunteer my time. My supplies. I speak fluent Spanish.I was turned away, so who are the doctors working in the shelters?

I have no doubt in my mind, based on my conversation that these facilities do not have physicians there at all times – or even nurses. This breaks my heart.
