after so many years of receiving txj's magnanimous generosity of keeping broken goods nearby as even a concubine tch!

it was his wonderful empress who came up with the punishment. as expected of his song qiutong.
five days locked in isolation in a desolate manor, a shack really. nothing chu-fei would have lived in for the past decade, due to txj's generosity ofc.

five days in the abandoned shack alone would surely teach chu-fei some respect.
who would have thought, that someone would dare encroach onto His land, His territory and ransack the filthy manor, taking His concubine.

txj had yet to see chu-fei bow his head and submit, permanently wipe off that cold glare and erase the scorn form his emotionless face.
txj was not about to allow anyone to lay their hands on chu-fei before he accomplished that.
but who would have thought...

with the soldiers' head rolling on the tiled floor, txj has order the survivors to find chu-fei or their heads would roll too.
and they did.
three weeks later, txj was informed his chu-fei was located.
his body was located.

the soldiers heard from a small town, there was word of a lost, cheap whore. a beautiful thing with sleek, black hair and pale skin, lean fingers, and even leaner legs.
they say he's crazy. no surprise for a prostitute in the middle of nowhere with nothing on him.

who knows where the whore came from, says the bar keep. a group of bandits came in one night, scaring off the patrons and taking over the inn for the night. they spend of lot of silver on alcohol, ofc the barkeep and owner would not care for the whore then.

says the whore was already crazy, could not speak properly and could barely move. like he was perpetually intoxicated or trapped in a dream.
those bandits left in the early morning, taking the hopeless whore with them.

that's no good for the soldiers. they had only finally made progress in potentially finding the emperor's concubine.
the barkeep mentions one more thing. what the whore kept repeating: mo ran, i'm sorry. it's all my fault. i'm sorry.
hopeless whore has been fucked silly.

the soldiers at least know they are on the correct path. they all know That names. its the emperor's old name and everyone in the palace who wanted to live knew to never say it.

the soldiers stop by every inn and bar, every alcohol stall and every whore house too. they follow every trail of this 'beautiful, mindless whore' from town to town until they locate the concubine.
or, what's left of the concubine.

from all the potential trails, one of them leads to the missing concubine.
those bandits had long abandoned the brainless concubine, instead chu-fei has been passed from the hand to hand to any willing patron in search of a cheap fuck. taken from here to there and back again.

eventually chu-fei had been abandoned one final time. they find chu-fei's body in a grove, not even hidden from sight.
at first, the soldiers are not even sure they have found the correct person - uh, body.

but the bright red ruby gem in the middle of the body's clavicle indicates they have indeed found what they are searching for.
concubine chu's body is so mutilated its barely recognizable.

the physician in the nearby town tells the soldiers this body was subject to a great deal of deliberate blunt force trauma, as if that wasn't obvious.
limbs twisted this way and that way, bones jutting out in odd places, and the plethora of bruises and injuries are all indicators

it is no surprise to the soldiers, when they return from their reconnaissance and inform the awaiting emperor, that their heads will roll too.

surprisingly, its not news of his concubines brutal death that actually sets off the emperor. rather, its what chu-fei is rumoured to have said.
the soldiers relay chu-fei's supposed apologies and grievances that they heard from the barkeep and then heads roll that night.

two days later, txj looks upon the cleaned up body of his first and only concubine - as clean as it can be. no amount of scrubbing will erase the gaping wounds or fade the bruises.
even with his limbs realigned and held together in braces, chu-fei will never rise again.

a cheap, beautiful, and mindless whore is what those soldiers told him. an easy fuck from a hopeless prostitute who had lost his mind and couldn't speak, only apologize to 'mo ran'.

a cheap, beautiful, and mindless whore who would never look at txtj with scorn again. never glare and thin his lips in frustration, never call him shameless and senseless again.
never to look at taxian jun again.
