Krishna story: The Kapalika!

Followed by Suresvaracharya and other disciples, Sankara moved southwards.

In course of time, the party reached Srisailam hills in Andhra Pradesh.

In those days, there lived a sect of religious fanatics called the Kapalikas, who believed in human Image
sacrifice.

One day Sri Sankara was sitting deeply immersed in meditation.

At that time, a Kapalika came before him.

He woke up Sankara from his meditation and told him that God Kapali would appear to him if he sacrificed either the head of an emperor or the head of a great
Sannyasin.

Sankara was amused. He smiled and said that he had no objection whatsoever to surrender his head.

He would come to the temple of Bhairava at midnight without the knowledge of his disciples.

Overjoyed that his wishes would be fulfilled, the Kapalika got busy with
the preliminary rites of worship before the human sacrifice.

Man proposes, but God disposes.

Sankara got up from his bed at midnight and left for the temple of Bhairava.

Padmapada sensed some danger to his Guru. He earnestly prayed to Lord Narasimha to protect his Guru.
Padmapada ran to the spot & with the mighty strength of a lion snatched the sword from the hands of the Kapalika

He then jumped on the Kapalika & tore him to pieces

Sankara saw Lord Narasimha before him & was overjoyed

He at once composed a thrilling hymn on Lord Narasimha.

Is there is a spiritual message in this Pandemic

Is the Supreme unhappy with Humans ?

Every day we humans are killing millions of animals and birds for their carnal pleasure

Every day one dam full of blood of innocent animals is being spilt
This is bad karma , we as Humans are committing grave sin by killing innocent animals for our carnal pleasure , Can't we live without eating meat ? Time for us to introspect ? Man has become the king of beasts because of indiscriminate killing of animals ? We are going against
The laws of karma , man should learn to live in harmony with nature. No religion advocates meat eating

Jesus says " Thou Shalt not kill"
Islam " very strict rules for Halal ) kurbani )
Buddhism : Ahimsa

I had a discussion with my Christian friend ( CF )
CF : In one of your tweets you had mentioned about " Karma " , in Christianity we dont have that concept , what do you mean by that
Me : you see we are not this body but Spirit soul , we call it atma
We were there before, we are there now and we will be after, as we change our dress after taking bath, our soul takes another body at death
CF : interesting, We dont beleive in this , just judgement day based on if you believe Jesus or not you will be destined to heaven or hell
Me : you might believe the Sun to be a moon , but the fact is fact, your belief doesn't alter the fact
CF : I don't believe in Karma
Me : Do you accept God
CF : Yes and he is Jesus
Me : What do you think of God , is he Kind or Cruel
CF : How can God be cruel, He is so kind

Story of Ajamila!

A story from Srimad-Bhagavatam.

By His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

There was once a young brahmana named Ajamila [pronounced aj-a-meel], who was a reservoir of good character and conduct. He was mild and gentle, always truthful,
well versed in the Vedic scriptures, and very pure.

One day, on the request of his father, Ajamila went to the forest to collect fruit, flowers and grasses. On the way home, he came upon a very lusty low-class man embracing and kissing a prostitute. Both of them were drunk,
and the man was smiling, singing and enjoying himself without shame. The prostitute’s eyes were rolling in intoxication, and her dress had become loose. When Ajamila saw her, the lusty desires in his heart awakened, and in illusion he fell under their control.

King Indradyumna of Avanti had travelled to Purusottama Kshetra with a hope to have a vision of Lord Purusottama (Vishnu). When he arrived there and experienced the sacredness of the place he decided to reside there for the rest of his life worshiping the Lord. Image
He also decided to have a temple built there for the Lord.

Once the king took the decision to start the construction work, he sent for expert astrologers to do ‘the land treatment’ [to make the land ritually pure and fit for the construction of such a temple].
People well versed in the vedas, ministers, wise Brahmins and the experts in the field of Vastu also joined this activity. Soon the religious rituals were duly performed. Then the king Indradyumna sent for the kings of Utkal, Koshal and Kalinga. He urged upon them to go to
