A part of being a Nurse is the acceptance of death. It's also the acceptance that though we may not understand lifestyle & treatment choices, it's the cornerstone of patient rights. If your personal beliefs impact day to day work. It may be time for a break or switch 1

COVID19 is ruthless and takes prisoners. AIDS for over 20 yrs took no prisoners, it was a death sentence. It changed life as we knew it. Acceptance of human behavior is how the few survived.We lost family, friends, and coworkers.2

Children came up positive due to transfusions. People couldn't understand why ppl wouldn't use condoms or clean needles. Worse those that lied about their status. 3

Pandemics only change with the name of the Virus. History shows human behavior doesn't.This leaves the front line believing people don't care.
Which is a fact of life and unfortunately true. And ppl have no duty to care for HCPs or other ppls
feelings 4

If people cared about humanity, they couldn't drive by a homeless encampment with good conscience. Though the very ppl complaining do it daily.
Empathy and compassion were never meant if sincere to be discriminatory.5

Global herd immunity is realistically not obtainable. Statistics showed this based on mask compliance. Vaccines won't be mandated. So what's next? How do citizens and HCPs move frwd?6

The same as with AIDS ,acceptance and move frwd. Which for some may mean quitting and starting over. As happened from 1985- 2006.
Does anyone care? Some do, most do not. Acceptance is digesting that fact 7

For some the fact that many human's lack a conscience and base empathy will be too much. Codependents are drawn to hcare, which is a toxic mistake. CoDs disguise caring and control. Were not licensed to control human decisions, but support them 8

Next is the long road of adjustment for global hcare systems. The systems exist long after we leave this 🌎, only
the names change. Not the behavior. FIN
