I tuned into a fireside chat today of @Bazzaruto interviewing @Nicolascole77 and @dickiebush. It was quite the treat 🔥

There were a gazillion insights I found valuable around audience creation and writing online.

Here are my top 5 takeaways I found most helpful ⬇️
1/ Deadlines are key.

No matter the length of the piece. Whether short-form or long-form, have a date a in mind to publish. How do you know how to kept accountable to stay on track, if there is no track?
2/ Simplicity is velocity.

Get used to the back space bar and delete the fluff. This saves precious time and attention for your reader. Be relentless to make it simple.
3/ Create your own category.

It will have a differentiated problem to solve. You'll know you're on track when your specific language gets mirrored back to you. It means that idea has been validated by your audience.
4/ Create a 100 mini things or idea.

Each one is a piece of data that will either prove your assumption to be right or wrong.

Once you find something that gets traction, claim it by naming it, and educate others on it.
5/ Specificity is what gets followed.

Your audience grows with time as you add value. You don't need to start with a huge. Trust that people will follow along for what you share and create in the future rather than what you've already done.
