1. Call 104. As requests increase, we urge you to keep trying till you are given a registration number. To be on the Govt waitlist while also trying for beds at Private Hospitals is a safe bet.
2. You can also get on the Govt wait-list and get a registration number by filling up this form shared by @104_GoTN: bit.ly/3gZ8k21
Our volunteers monitor the entries, triage them and contact the attendees of patients with updated bed status/any other info ASAP.
4. Chennai Cares volunteers are working 24x7 to update bed availability and verify leads for oxygen/medicines. We respond based on available info at any given time. If @104_GoTN reaches out before us, let us know so that we may remove you and proceed with others on the list.
5. There are several other groups and people monitoring calls for help on Twitter, amplifying them and assisting during this time. If you come across any such appeals, updates or leads, tag @ChennaiCares or DM so we can help, amplify, connect.
7. If the patient has mild symptoms or mild-moderate chest CT score and it has been advised to manage from home, tag @ChennaiCares and we will connect you with verified resources for quality home-based care. - CC

After Bengaluru, we now move our attention to Chennai where I've spoken with @Archytypes and all her fantastic co-volunteers at @ChennaiCares, who are responding to requests for beds, oxygen, medicines, and blood.
.@ChennaiCares verifies and amplifies resources, while also supplementing official efforts by channelizing authentic requests, managing information, and data.
I'm glad to extend my Twitter takeover to @ChennaiCares - a mixed group of individuals; some of whom have known each other for decades, some who worked together for Tsunami relief, some during the Chennai floods, some during the lockdown, and some who have just met each other.
