Today I cried at work but4 once they were happy tears coz we finally got clinically approved clear masks!
It was incredible seeing my wonderful colleagues swap over to the new masks as soon as the box arrived in Paeds A&E and being able to understand them instantly.

Its been a year of battling2 understand ppl thro masks, trying my hardest to be a good Dr, worrying abt burden I put on colleagues trying2 communicate w/me, trying to get thro training on par w/ my colleagues & loneliness.
Within a couple of hrs of my team wearing clear masks

I realised just how much I've missed out, how a simple thing cld make such a difference! 😍
I got tearful coz I've been dreaming of clear masks 4 so long& they are finally a reality!
Today was a happy day&I'm so hopeful now for many more days like this.🌈 Thank you @GSTTnhs

Coming out of work, the weather reflected my feelings. Despite storms over the year, there was always a sunshine waiting for me.

For those asking about details of the masks they are from @LJAMiersUK who designed it in collaboration with @CUH_CEI and @addenbrookes. Its a fab clear design and I didn't see any fog up whilst being worn.
