I'm sure I confuse Keeler & her supporters bc "why would an enrolled Dine person do all of this?"
Because I don't judge ppl by posession of papers or use records to determine ppl's authenticity bc that is colonial toxic bs that has no place in our future as Indigenous ppl.

I do not go to other tribes where I have no idea and demand ppl to prove themselves. I listen to ppl: their stories, their experiences, & their knowledge. The more we use colonial papers & systems to determine ourselves, the more we continue to contribute to our own extinction.

I am calling out Keeler's behavior, and her coworkers, for the explicit harm they have done to innocent Black Indigenous & Indigenous ppl by making that list with no factual basis or ethical investigation. As well as for lying about it and working with predators as well.

This whole situation is forcing Indian Country to reckon with our own self determination and identity, (the future of it as well) and I hope we continue to fight for and help disconnected Indigenous ppl, especially Black Indigenous ppl in our communities.

I have met so many amazing people these past few days that have told me they are grateful for what I've done. I am thankful. But to me, I am simply asking Indigenous society this: Do we want to continue this perpetual gatekeeping & anti-Blackness, or will we dismantle it?

I will continue to hold Keeler accountable, I will continue to listen to those hurt, & I will update and make that doc publically available for those wanting to learn. I will keep doing this until that list is eradicated and those making it are held responsible for the harm done.

I am also well aware that there are people who very much are not of Indigenous heritage on that list. Here's the thing! That list, once published, will be used as an example and excuse to police Indigenous ppl even more. What's to stop them from getting you next?
