Years ago, we were at a shooting location. A Ghanaian actor complained about MTN tariff and why it was so high in Nigeria. The other actor who was also Ghanaian but had lived in Nigeria said 'The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is, MTN dare not try this in Ghana...
...'The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is that MTN dare not try it in Ghana, if they try it, the poor people in Ghana will go to their office and give them hell, while the poor people in Nigeria suffer and smile'. It dawned on me why Nigerians are suffering in silence.
The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is that the poor people in Nigeria do not own up to being poor, they have been so broke shamed by same people who steal and oppress them, while the poor in Ghana own the poverty and frustration and scare the elites in their society.
Don't let anybody make you feel your situation is not your situation. Don't let your church make you deny your life experience, being poor is not a curse. We are followers of Christ already said the poor you will always have amongst you. Own it and fight your oppressors & elites
