Kwara Gov condoles with Chief Imam of Ilorin over wife’s death
@followKWSG Governor @RealAARahman has condoled with the Chief of Imam of Ilorin Sheikh Muhammad Bashir over the sudden death of his wife Alhaja Hafsot Bashir, describing the incident as sad.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, the state capital, the Governor said: “On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, I send my heartfelt condolences to the Chief Imam and the entire family on this very sad news.
It is one tragedy too many, but we are consoled by the inevitability of death, the decree of Allah who gives and takes life, and the obligation for believers to submit to His Will under whatever shades.
“I pray the Almighty Allah to forgive Alhaja Hafsot her shortcomings and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also beseech Him to comfort the Chief Imam and his family, and grant everyone succeeding Alhaja longer life and the grace to continue to serve Allah.”

Kwara govt organises Youth Fair to grow entrepreneurs
In a bid to showcase the entrepreneurial skills of youth in the state, the @followKWSG is set to organise the first-ever youth fair for businesses founded by young persons in the state.
The 2-Day event, which focuses on product exhibition, talent display and business pitch, aims to connect youths running various businesses across the state together with buyers and potential investors.
While slots for two hundred businesses are available for exhibition, various organizations and companies are being invited to interact with business owners for possible investment and partnership.
Kwara govt reclaims Ile Arugbo land as court strikes out Saraki’s case
Kwara State Government on Tuesday got a legal green light to proceed with building on the controversial Ile Arugbo land in Ilorin, with the court striking out the Bukola Saraki’s case challenging government’s take over of the land.
Justice Abiodun Adewara of the Ilorin High Court struck out the Saraki’s case for “lack of diligent prosecution.”
