In case you missed it: Josh Hawley claimed it was a total mystery to him whether he fist pumped any Capitol rioters, so @ArthurDelaneyHP and I set out to settle that lingering question for him. Hope that helps! huffpost.com/entry/josh-haw…
TL;DR: Yes, Josh Hawley fist pumped people who "participated in the criminal riot.” In fact, it’d be tougher to identify people who Hawley fist pumped who didn’t break the law. huffpost.com/entry/josh-haw…
Already showed you how the guy with the bullhorn (who was directing the crowd Hawley saluted) rioted, but perhaps we should follow someone less obvious.
How about the lady in the red jacket? Here she is obeying the law by staying behind the barriers before Hawley’s first pump. So does she continue obeying the law after rioters violently bust through those same barriers?
No, she does not! She joins the mob. And why wouldn’t she, if she thought the election was stolen? Seems like the very least you could do, if you thought this was 1776 and that Joe Biden was about to steal the presidency.
Somehow didn’t make this connection, but one recently arrested defendants made his push on the east side of the Capitol where Josh Hawley saluted the crowd. He was right next to bullhorn guy, and suggested making “HOME VISITS” to lawmakers.
Let’s return to Bullhorn guy. Here he is inciting the crowd moments before he helps busts down the police barrier. He also lends his bullhorn to another man who incites the crowd by comparing them to “a bunch of antifa, a bunch of bitches,” accusing them of not being “patriots.”
Consistently impressed by the work of the open source community investigating the Capitol attack. That video only had about 200 views on YouTube when someone flagged it for me last week. It’s really value evidence (that is also backed up for safekeeping).

On the left is FBI Capitol suspect no. 225, aka #airheadlady. On the right is a publicly available image of Marilyn Hueper from her husband’s Instagram page, which was cited in the FBI affidavit. Do they look like they could be sisters? Sure. But they are not the same person.
Check the hairline, check the ears, check the nose, check the jawline, check the chin. It’s not a match, and it illustrates how easy it can be to keep your blinders up when you think you work backwards from a conclusion. huffpost.com/entry/fbi-capi…
Landon Copeland, caught on video brawling with cops at the Capitol, has been interrupting hearings for other Capitol defendants. His case has finally been called, and it’s not going well.
“I’M GOING TO TELL THE TRUUUUUTTTTHH,” he yells at the clerk.
Attorney for Capitol defendant Anthony Antonio said his client had “Foxitus” and “Foxmania” from watching six months of Fox News and started “believing what was being fed to him” by Fox News and the president.
Antonio talked to the feds with his lawyer pretty early, and told them he saw “death” in the eyes of D.C. Police Officer Mike Fanone as the mob pulled the officer into the crowd. justice.gov/usao-dc/case-m…
Judge Randolph D. Moss today denied Matthew Klein's motion for bond and pretrial release, finding that his parents are unsuitable custodians.
Matthew's parents both advised his brother (on the right) that "braggers get caught." His mom said to "pull a Hillary and use a hammer."
"This was not an exercise of free speech but, to the contrary, an effort to quash the collective voice of the American electorate."
Judge called Proud Boy Klein’s decision to bring weapons to political rallies “disconcerting,” but didn’t rule out releasing him under strict conditions in the future.
It’s a conversation piece about the AG who faced down George Wallace, helped draft the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act, and battled with Hoover over blackmailing MLK. Seems like an easy call to put him in the AG’s conference room.
