Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this evening, at the main Jerusalem Day ceremony at Ammunition Hill:
"We are in a fight on several fronts: Jerusalem, Gaza and elsewhere in the country.
This evening, on Jerusalem Day, the terrorist organizations in Gaza have crossed a red line and attacked us with missiles in the outskirts of Jerusalem.
Israel will respond with great force. We will not tolerate attacks on our territory, on our capital, on our citizens and on our soldiers. Whoever attacks us will pay a heavy price.
I say to you, citizens of Israel, the current conflict could continue for some time. We do not seek escalation but whoever chooses to escalate will feel the weight of our arm.
I cannot tell you about the assessments that I am holding with the security elements or about the actions that we are carrying out. This is an uncompromising fight that stems from a view of the overall picture. We are waging it with determination, responsibility and understanding
We will not fall into the traps of our enemies and we are not beholden to the keyboards of Twitter users. The test of leadership requires that the right decisions be made even when they are not understood at any given moment and their justification becomes clear later on.
Whoever is incapable of leading and withstanding the pressure of criticism is unfit for leadership. We will carefully choose the timing of our response and the force of the confrontation with our enemies. This is not new.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"We are in the midst of a major campaign – Operation Guardian of the Walls. Yesterday and today, the IDF attacked hundreds of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.
PM Netanyahu: "We have eliminated dozens of terrorists, including senior commanders. We have bombed Hamas command centers and toppled buildings that serve the terrorist organizations. We will continue to attack with full force.
We have just finished a consultation and assessment of the situation with the heads of the security establishment and we made decisions. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have paid and will pay a very heavy price for their aggression. I say here this evening: their blood is on their heads.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a situation assessment:
"I have just finished – at IDF Southern Command – an assessment of the situation with the Defense Minister, the IDF Chief-of-Staff and GOC Southern Command."
We are in the midst of a campaign. Since yesterday, the IDF has made hundreds of attacks against Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza. We have targeted commanders. We have hit many quality targets. The conclusion of the meeting is to further increase the force and pace of the attacks.
Hamas will receive blows here that it did not expect. I know that this also entails patience and a certain sacrifice on your part, citizens of Israel.
Prime Minister Netanyahu at the state memorial ceremony for Ethiopian Jews who perished while on their way to Israel:
A struggle is now being waged for the heart of Jerusalem. It is the struggle between intolerance and tolerance, between law-breaking violence and law and order.
This struggle is not new because it has been waged, in effect, over Jerusalem and the heart of Jerusalem for hundreds of years, since the rise of the three monotheistic faiths.
Sometimes one side was in control and excluded the other two and sometimes they traded places and the same thing happened.
We are currently witnessing violent disturbances in Jerusalem under the influence of agitators.
Over the weekend, I held ongoing assessments of the situation.
We will not allow any extremist element to undermine the quiet in Jerusalem. We will uphold law and order – vigorously and responsibly. We will continue to guard freedom of worship for all faiths but we will not allow violent disturbances.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"The decision of the International Court to open an investigation against Israel today for war crimes is absurd. It's undiluted antisemitism and the height of hypocrisy.
Without any jurisdiction, it decided that our brave soldiers, who take every precaution to avoid civilian casualties against the worst terrorists in the world who deliberately target civilians, it's our soldiers who are war criminals.
They said that when we build a house in our eternal capital of Jerusalem, it's been our capital for 3,000 years, that too is a war crime.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein visited a gym in Petah Tikva, ahead of the opening of the sector tomorrow via the Green Pass program.
"The Green Pass is gradually opening the country. Please, use it. It is for you."
Prime Minister Netanyahu: "I ask everyone who has not been vaccinated – go be vaccinated. You will have the Green Pass and you will also be able to benefit from it. It is your responsibility.
We are administering vaccines at a pace of around 30,000 a day for people over 50, where most of the morbidity and mortality are. In the coming 2 weeks, we intend to vaccinate over 95% of this age group. Go be vaccinated. Accept the Green Pass and start getting back to life.
