The new Cabinet held its first meeting today (May 11, 2021) & resolved to fulfill the promises made to our people.
We have taken our first steps in this journey with the following decisions 👇
1. To contain #Covid cases, more restrictions & containment measures would be put in place from May 13, 2021. Detailed SOP will be issued on Wednesday. In case restrictions have to continue for more than a fortnight, Govt will consider financial relief package for weaker sections
2. As promised during elections, the Cabinet decided to give employment to 1 lakh educated unemployed youths of the state in posts considered essential to improve public service delivery. A Committee is being constituted under Finance Minister to work out the modalities.
3. To ease the burden of loans availed by our mothers and sisters from Micro Finance Institutions, a Committee has been constituted to examine various aspects and make recommendations within one month.
4. The Cabinet approved increasing the stake of Government of Assam in Numaligarh Refinery Limited from the present 12.35% to 26%, involving a sum of Rs 2187 crore. This is the biggest single investment in the industrial sector ever by the State Government.
For 70 years, North East suffered from geographical isolation, political instability and imbalanced development, intentional ploys to divide and rule by Cong govts.
In last 9 years, Hon PM has extensively focused on connecting and uniting our region.

The relentless focus on connectivity is not restricted to building physical linkages but winning the faith of the people by cementing emotional linkages.
To begin with, Hon PM himself visited the region 60 times and his Council of Ministers, 400 times in last 9 years.
2/11
No Central Government, since 1947, has invested so much political capital in a region, where some states send just 1 MP to the LS.
Consider this, in 2023 for the first time a Union HM stayed overnight in an Arunachal town close to China border and spent a night in Nagaland.

Cong is suddenly displaying immense interest in Manipur. Important to rewind a bit and look at PM Manmohan Singh’s own response to similar crises in the State.
The party’s duplicity is simply alarming.

During UPA’s tenure, Manipur became the blockade capital of the country.
Between 2010-2017, when Cong ruled the State, every year there were blockades ranging from 30 days a year to upto 139 days a year.

Petrol and LPG prices went upto ₹240 and ₹1,900 a litre during each of these blockades, translating into a complete humanitarian crisis.
2011 was one of the worst blockades in Manipur lasting more than 120 days.
The incident in Manipur is horrendous and the perpetrators will face the full wrath of law.
Unfortunately, there is a clear pattern among the so called liberals. The outrage is limited to the North East, while they will simply ignore equally brutal crimes elsewhere

First foreign agents target us!
Then our own targets us on a foreign land!
Rahul Gandhi’s speech at Cambridge was nothing but a brazen attempt to denigrate our country on foreign soil in the guise of targeting Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji.

Rahul says Indian democracy is under threat because he can't freely express himself.
FACT: He travelled 4,000 km in his yatra incident-free under the protection provided by Modi Govt. Do we need to remind him how yatras led by BJP leaders were sabotaged when Cong was in power?
Rahul says Pegasus was found on his phone and an “officer” warned him regarding it.
FACT: He refused to submit his phone for investigation when Supreme Court asked for it. Following extensive investigation, SC concluded that there was no evidence of Pegasus.
