Newly-released texts reveal extent of David Cameron's Greensill lobbying - BBC News

5 March to 26 June Cameron bombarded Ministers, Civil Servants and SpAds with 45 messages.

“Again Greensill have got a "no". Am genuinely baffled.”

“ Letter says CCFF is there to provide liquidity for "non financial corporates". That is what we do. The fact the notes are issued by a financial entity is irrelevant. The recipients of the money are all non financials and mostly SMEs! Can I have 5 minutes for a call?”

A bit pushy, to say the least.

Beginning to think that a 1st in PPE from Oxford is not a mark of a great intellect TBH.

Who can open the doors to power? Elliot’s address book is one of them.

But this early rather entertaining & personality revealing article from the @FT is well worth a read.
And today we find that, whilst technically insolvent, somehow mislaying £2mill of losses in its filed accounts, STILL a managed to pay its shareholders £1.4 mill distributions over three years while it “did not have sufficient distributable reserve” to do so

Singapore 🇸🇬 use Pfizer & Moderna vaccine

Changi Airport cluster grown -18 Cases now-either airport staff or contacts of them, 12 vaccinated most fully, and several back in Feb for second shot. Several instances of 🇮🇳 variant (sub variant not stated)

This follows on from this thread last week of a sizeable outbreak (40 related cases) at Tan Tock Teng Hospital (TTTH) in Singapore 🇸🇬 mixture of staff, patients & contacts

9 fully vaccinated as far back as Feb- mostly asymptomatic/mild symptoms.

Some of the others fared worse

I wonder if @IanRMaher would like to clarify & maybe revise his statements below

1/ That the 🇮🇳 variant is no more transmissible than 🇬🇧 B117 variant
Is he referring to 🇮🇳 B1.617.2, the variant most prevalent in the U.K.?

2/ they do not “inhibit” the effectiveness of vaccines Image
In relation to point 1/ There is evidence that just it may well have a growth advantage over B117 and thus be more transmissible. Important for people to understand this and be even more cautious to prevent transmission.

In relation to 2/

Work has been carried out to see whether 2 of the 🇮🇳 variants inhibit the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine & if so, to what extent

The answer is that B1.617.1 and B1.617.2 reduce neutralising effect to some extent on the vaccine but prevent severe disease

“Carillion’s use of supply chain finance became contentious because shortly after the scheme was launched, the company extended its maximum payment times to suppliers from 65 to 120 days — in effect forcing subcontractors to use the scheme, even if they had to pay a price.”
And Cameron promoted it as PM
He promoted it after he left office as a route to get even richer.

Carillon may not have used the scheme directly but they created grossly unacceptable terms of payment -120 delay- and knew it would please Cameron if their suppliers did Image
And Carillion had their own version of their scheme, hidden away in their accounts making their debts look smaller than they really were. Image

📌1 Mill MORE deaths by Mid to end of June based on data suggesting that the true daily death figure c25k-30k a day

📌 Data from crematoria and burials ALSO corroborated by the 400k positives a day - with 22% positivity nationally . India is probably missing 80-90% of all infection.
📌. In reality 30-40 Lakh a day getting infected (3mill - 4 mill cases : that would be about 30-40 million active cases at any one time based on a 10 day infectivity period.)
