I’m going to document the Launch Process of my next Amazon FBA Product

Premium LED Standing Lamp

Launch Date: May 12th, 2021

From $0 to $50k (revenue) per month by end of 2021

I’ll use this thread to document the inside scoop on how I launch products

Front End: Work hard to find, source & optimize a product for launch

Back End: Another passive income stream
How did we get to Launch Date?

Summary

1.Product Research (1 week)
2.Product Sampling (7-10 Days)
3.Product Design (1 week)
4.Supplier Negotiation (2-3 days)
5.Product Listing (3 weeks)

Note: soon as inventory was ordered, the listing creation began (as product shipped)
1.Product Research

Why a Color Changing Corner Lamp you may also ask?

Product Research provided 3 Reasons:

1. High demand/low competition
2. My brand carries a similar projector product (brand building)
3. The product was a blast for myself & friends to use while testing
2. Product Sampling

Tested 4 different suppliers

Products took between 7-10 days to arrive. All from China.

I went with our current supplier because:

a. Light is brighter (Competitors had 1 star reviews b/c of low brightness)
b. Bulb has a longer lifespan (50k vs 25k hrs)
3. Product Design

After determining which supplier had the highest quality, time to customize to fit my brand.

I upgraded the initial design by:

1.Adding a physical on/off switch
2.Adding brand logo on the remote/packaging (not included on the first 200 units ordered)
4. Supplier Negotiation

Time to lock in price

When sourcing overseas, the initial quote will be high

They quote high expecting negotiation

2 days of back & forth to land on a price

Got lower per unit price by paying 10% deposit on future inventory via “quantity discount”
5. Product Listing

I had 35-40 days to finalize the listing

In past, I’ve gone cheaper on product photography/video. Even done some photo editing myself

This hurts in the long run, as photo quality improvements are needed

This time, paid for a 3D rendering & HD images
To Summarize

After finding initial product, took between 50-60 Days to Launch

Sourcing overseas, this is standard

Overseas Shipping: 30-40 Days (if all goes correctly & there isn’t a boat stuck in a canal)

While product was in route, listing & launch strategy was finalized
What Now?

Launch Game Plan

I’ll be using a mix of

-Amazon marketing
-Targeted Giveaways
-Off-Amazon Presence (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram)

To drive traffic and incentive sales.
Early Sales are Harder to come by. Product Launches build slow

Shoppers are weary of buying products with no reviews

Once reviews come, much easier to step back from the product

Early on, hands on for the mktg, pricing & product listing via Split Tests

Test often & act
Post Launch?

Off Amazon Presence & Product Inserts direct customers to brand’s site. There, they can enter their email for a 1 Year Warranty

This builds a mailing list

Amazon FBA is great for eyeballs, but its expensive in fees.

LT goal is always to gain direct customers
All in All – I’ll be posting the process

I’ll break down what I’m testing

Day to day, changes will be made

Never a guarantee that a product will immediately thrive

But I do guarantee I’ll do everything I can to turn this product into a $50k per month by end of 2021
LET’S MAKE THIS HAPPEN

I’ll use this thread to update the progress

Keep an eye out here for updates! 👀👀

And if you have questions – reply here or DM me. Always happy to answer.

How to Send a Client Proposal – Real Example from my SEO Business Last Week

*SHORT THREAD*

Client Has:
1. Leads from my Site in Market A (Vancouver WA)
2. Internal website in Market B (Portland OR)

Client’s Request:
Build 2nd lead generation site in Market B (Portland OR) Image
Why Did I Propose Taking over His Website vs Building Another Lead Generation Site?

FIRST: What does Client actually Want?

ANSWER: Leads from Portland, as soon as possible
2 Reasons Why A Takeover is Better:

1.It takes a lot of time & effort to build a new website (I don’t like high time & effort)

2.It takes longer time for new site to rank (Client doesn’t like slow results)
