Social media must have doubled in size over the last week. Mostly with those nicely designed factoids and Joe Q Public posts repeating hashtags and identical talking points. No mention about Israel creating Hamas tho. theintercept.com/2018/02/19/ham…
Israel does a good job of flooding all avenues of media to block out competitive or non-structured content. That has nothing to do with the actual conflict its just an expertise on working the media to define the narrative early. A good study in PR. huffpost.com/entry/how-isra…
Regardless of the content the narrative continues.
Twitter is confused about labeling content from state run, manipulated and/or controlled sources. They seem pretty keen to label Russian or Chinese media tho.
How easy is it to manipulate the media or rather push back against the media manipulating the story. I guess we should ask Jeff Bezos, MBS, David Pecker and Gavin de Becker and one of best NY Post headline: “Bezos Exposes Pecker” bloomberg.com/news/features/…
How is Bezos linked to the war in Israel? Both seek to establish a media narrative that is sympathetic to the manipulator and casts the opposition as evil. Making sure the opposition is blamed for manipulating the media, Which is true. But so does Israel. jewishvirtuallibrary.org/hamas-s-manipu…
The reality is complex. While the western media declare "all out war" is possible, Israel is also at war with itself. Unable to form a government, Binny once again is yelling "red lines" and "iron fist" but no one will "win" this conflict. middleeasteye.net/live/israel-pa…
Maybe the most interesting example of how important media and perception are in this latest flare up is the airstrike on the al Aqsa TV station. A war on media. timesofisrael.com/hamas-tv-stati…
Is there a media source to get some understanding of the situation? You can argue that demonstrations are media manipulation designed to provoke conflict and decent footage.
Gilan Lotad did this impressive series of infographics on how biased the coverage is on Israel and Palestine. It is almost a perfect mirror image. medium.com/i-data/israel-…
Is there any source that is "unbiased" on the conflict? Hard to say. Perhaps "no" is the safest answer. Gaza? no. Israeli coverage. Possibly: blogs.dickinson.edu/gelulaj/2019/0…
US coverage,nope: theintercept.com/2019/01/12/isr…

Another excellent study on how the media views Palestine through the lens of violence. inquiremore.com/p/only-coverin…

Anyone getting Afghan deja vu? Dostum is the Afghan leader who defeated the taliban. Not Masood. The Panjshiris waited until the surrender to advance. nytimes.com/2021/05/14/wor…
I set up AfPax, a ground network of 1200 people because......there was no reliable source of ground information in Afghanistan and the tribal areas. The interesting thing was that the US agenda built the corrupt centralized system that the taliban are destroying.
It's like we have no institutional memory of how things get done and when to leave. Image

The Prince of Fuckery is known for two things. Pitching Dr Evil PowerPoints to assholes and 2) fucking them up so badly you swear it was a script for comedy caper flick . And I suppose 3) ending up on the front page of the New York Times nytimes.com/2021/05/13/us/…
Now I say "caper film" because even the secret spy at mommy's ranch in Wyoming said Veritas was too stupid to train, or funnier, British kinda of insult words to that effect. splinternews.com/project-verita… Image

Cmon WaPo. Dig deeper. "ASOG’s early work included hunting for intelligence about a group of Chinese nationals for an exiled Chinese billionaire"

Why is Waller hiring ASOG to find Chinese nationals for Guo and then forced to give the money back to Guo because ASOG says it's illegal?
