Hamas runs the Gaza Strip. The freedom score there is 11/100.
Israel’s score is 76/100 where 1.5 million Arabs are free to vote, work, travel, be openly LGBT, be appointed to judgeships, be elected to the Parliament and they have Sharia Courts too.
I understand when @RashidaTlaib goes crazy about Israel because of her heritage. But @IlhanMN immigrated from Somalia yet she is biased and obsessed with Israel. There are many problems in her birth country as well as in other parts of the world but those interest her little.
When I ask the above, @ggreenwald would counter that ‘Israel is the recipient of $4 billion in annual US aid.’
First, the US spends $55 billion annually in aid yet few lawmakers are busy with other countries who get it. Secondly, almost all aid “to Israel” is spent in the US!
Third, most of the aid from the US to Israel is in form of military defenses so perhaps if Hamas, Iran and Syria would take a step back then Israel would need less funds for protection. Yet I don’t see @ggreenwald and like-minded people in Congress focusing their energy there.
Fourth, even if @ggreenwald is correct that the money spent by the US to protect Israel is reason to focus more on that part of the world, it does not excuse why wording and claims by @AOC@IlhanMN etc are inflammatory, filled with lies and one-sided. cc @mtracey
Glenn writes that “2 mill human beings, overwhelmingly young, are trapped in a tiny open-air prison unable to leave” Gaza. Sad indeed, but 1.5 million Arabs/Palestinians in Israel essentially have rights like the rest Israelis. Clearly, something is up in Gaza. Maybe ask Hamas.

The Ranking Republican on the Homeland Security committee in Congress (@RepJohnKatko) voted to impeach Trump for 1/6/21.
He is establishing a bipartisan commission that will look as to what led to the 1/6/21 which Katko already thinks Trump caused it so Y need a commission?
The latest is yet another example of my point that idiots/losers are Republicans.
The only PR outcome of a 1/6/21 commission will be to blame Trump so why agree? The leading Republican to organize this commision voted to impeach Trump for 1/6/21 so you know where this is going.
@ChrisRBarron Chip Roy singed a letter against holding election debates on 1/6/21; he said that Trump asking Pence to step up was an “impeachable conduct,” and said Trump worked up his supporters into a frenzy. @EliseStefanik condemned the violence without blaming Trump which is a fair stance.
This should have been the case back in January. What happened now is that the April jobs report sent shockwaves so word from @RonaldKlain probably went down to the @CDCDirector that it’s time to follow science and common sense.
The science existed from the get go that vaccinated people have no serious need for a mask, yet for months America was driven crazy by Biden, Media and dumb idiots who follow narratives that masks are still needed. This changed now likely due to the messy April jobs report.
Last week, it was reported that @rweingarten’s shop essentially drafted the CDC’s guidelines for schools.
Days later came the messy April jobs report that isn’t good for Biden so... this week Weingarten backs full return to school and the CDC made a huge mask rule change.
Are you awake @ByronYork? @Liz_Cheney and Nevers were in war against Trump from the get go; successfully driving him and the GOP from the WH, House and Senate which enables Biden to push his agenda.
Think of this. You are a self-proclaimed conservative. Your choice is between an Admin that governs more Conservative than any Admin in decades and an Admin that will burn everything you claim to care about.
What’s the principled move here?
To burn the country due to 1 man?
Nevers keep telling themselves that their stance is principled, but these guys helped drive the GOP from power and replaced it with a Congress/Admin that enacts policies that are against conservative principles. And all for what? Because CNN told you Trump is bad?
I don’t even get the @DavidAFrench NRO/DCX crowd that keeps on pointing out that Trump lost: They kept hammering Trump and essentially called for his loss. He lost by 42K spread in 3 states. They caused it and now they behave as if it prove how weak Trump was. cc @LarryHogan
Non-Trumpers due to MSM had enough of an impact to cause Trump to lose by 42K votes. A former GOP POTUS admitted not voting for his party’s choice! There were indeed thousands more of those. Their choice. But they keep yelling that Trump lost as if it proves anything about him.
If Non/Never-Trumpers want to say “we caused Trump’s loss and we are happy about it because Biden in his worst day is better than Trump in his best,” I can respect that. It’s flawed but that’s where someone stands behind their actions. However, these Non-Nevers keep “proving”
@AnnCoulter@michaeljknowles The fault line in the GOP is not Cons vs moderates on policy. Every political party moves on policy over time.
The fault line is process, the politics part of politics.
So... is @EliseStefanik willing to hit back regarding elections, candidates, fake scandals and smears?
@AnnCoulter@michaeljknowles@EliseStefanik I didn’t study how @EliseStefanik is on the politics of politics (which matters more than policy because if you sabotage on process as Liz did, you lose elections and don׳t have the power to even argue on policy). Here are some quick search results on her politics of politics:
