The infamous bandit commander in Niger State, Jack Bros Yellow has been captured by the Nigerian army during a sting operation
Jack Bros Yellow was famous for demanding communities to pay N3million for peace to reign. The villagers rallied around to raise the funds. When the money was paid he was short-changed by his deputy, who fled with the money.
An enraged Jack Bros Yellow returned to the community and kidnapped about nine women from Galape village after Galkogo, Shiroro local government in January.
This time he demanded ransom of N10million for the release of those women. Meanwhile a housewife was kidnapped and gang raped by a group of armed bandits under his command in Suna village, Shiroro local government area.
His lucky streak is over. He will pay for his crimes in no small measure.

Months ago, we touched on plots by France to maintain its grip on francophone West Africa by engineering conflicts and stoking political crises in francophone states. The leaders of some these states are marked for assassination, or to be forced out of power in palace coups.
The only way for Paris to justify its military presence in West Africa is to be the man that sets his neighbours house on fire and arrive with a fire truck to help.
President Buhari has played hosts to more francophone heads of states in one month, than he did in all of 2020.
April 19 2021: Nigers new President, Mohammed Bazoun pays a state visit to President Buhari, 48 hours after survuving a palace coup barely 24 hours upon resuming office. In a closed door meeting that had Nigeria's defence chief present, both leaders talked about forging close
So its been two days of researching, and investigating the cause of the latest Israeli Palentiniian conflict, and i dont like my findings. There will be no exposition on this one. It will be too provocative. All i can touch on is the weapons both sides are using on each other.
Hamas Strategic Rocket Forces are on a scale that dwarves the arsenal of most African militaries. Hamas spends $100 million a year on military infrastructure. These guys dont play around.
They have rockets like the A-120 with a maximum range from to 120 km.
Cameroon's military has a historic fear of Nigerian artillery. A force capable of laying waste to enemy territory by the acre.
On August 19 2020, Nigerian army artillery in conjunction with Cameroon air force surveillance crushed ISWAP terrorists in the Lake Chad.
ISWAP fighters were observed in Fedondoya village around Tumbunli on the fringes of Lake Chad trying to make their way into Cameroon, by a Cameroonian ISR plane. A Cessna 208B to be exact, and subsequently requested Nigerian artillery interdiction.
The Cameroonian airforce provided surveillance and observations from their ISR platform? while Nigerian Field Artillery troops bombarded the terrorists.
Its Leahs Sharibus 18th birthday today. She was 14 when she was abducted by ISWAP. She is fierce. A fighter. The girl who defied one of the deadliest terrorist group in the world. Four years on, she is still in captivity.
She is in essence has become a symbol of strenght for women. One would think the government do whatever it takes ti secure the release of such a female icon.
Sheikh Gumi..advocate for blanket Amnesty for bandits. Remember Leah Sharibu. Your "diplomatic" skill will come in handy.
In the last three decades France has carried out military interventions in Benin, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Gabon, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, and Zaire.
France has also been at loggerheads with its allies. The French by nature have an outsized ego. They resented the fact the United States was forced to clean out Europes mess twice in 2 world wars. They presence of U.S troops in Normand hurt their pride.
Resentments grew during the Suez Canal crises. They once pulled out of NATO. During our civil war French covert support on the side of the separatists drew the ire of London, who didnt take lightly French desire to breakup the biggest Anglophone state in Africa.
Nigerians, by and large, are a flag waving bunch. We celebrate our nation, even as we acknowledge what bad leadership and corruption have bedeviled the country. Our embrace of patriotism also makes it a potent weapon.
However coming under attack by @beegeaglesblog , for being "hyper patriotic", calling this page a propaganda handle.Tweeting Nnamdi Kalu's IPOB propaganda, leaves me with no choice than to come to the defence of patriotism rather than trade words with you.
As far as im concerned patriotism, not hate, not jealousy, not envy is the best antidote to Nigeria's growing divisiveness. As a defence blogger one would think you of all people will be happy peoples disposition towards the military is begining to change.
