One can’t discuss the limitations of archaic compartmental models, subtleties of inferential statistics, & computational modeling under uncertainty to incurious, social-credit seeking politicized acolytes.
They can only say so much w/ careers & professional standing on the line.
Few know that 2 have a more wrong than right politicized boss.
If you’re frustrated by some of their views, they’re probably getting things right.
Disclosure: in Feb 2020, I thought community masking & enhanced hygiene à la RoK might be effective mitigations for society (w/o notably changing the AUC). By April, it was clearly wrong.
In the end, this vegetarian, bike commuting, unabashed left-coast treehugger who had never voted Republican for national office is done w/ Democrats for now.
Health authoritarianism & tribalism are bad because authoritarianism & tribalism are bad. I felt the same way after 9/11.
