To engage with Him you got to hunger and desire him. We won't force himself on you. After desire, you need to ask Him. You won't encounter His awesomeness when you don't desire and ask.

Keys to staying with Him for at least an hour

1. Praise: Tell Him about the things he has done. Prepare a note of what you want to praise him for. This should last 5minutes.

2. Pray kingdom prayer. The salvation of souls, pray for the body of Christ.
3. Confession and forgiveness of sins
4. Petitions: Layout your request to him.
5. Intercession: Pray for people, nation's need

6. Bible reading: Read a portion of the Bible and pray in line with that.
7. Meditation: Think about what you have read.
8. Thanksgiving: Thank Him for what you have learnt and what he has done.

9. Take the word. Proclaim God's word over your life.
10. Sing
11. Listen. Listen with a pen and write what He says to you.
12. End your prayers in praise

Stay on the word: His word is everything. Give the word of God priority in your life. It is his word he will defend. Psalm 119:72

S- Scripture: Write scriptures that get your heart.

O- Observation: Study what you deduced from the scripture.

The key to hearing God in your everyday life is to start hearing God from the scriptures. Spend time studying God's word.
