Counterpoint: We've spent trillions on starving and homeless people on Earth with zero measurable impact. If anything, the situation's gotten worse. Whereas space travel's gotten us the Internet, wireless communications, and an untold number of technological advancements.
Throwing money at homeless drug addicts doesn't make them not homeless. It just gives them more money for drugs.

Homelessness is a drug addiction problem. There is no housing shortage. There is no job crisis. People just aren't working because they live off welfare.
You can thank space technology for microwaves, refrigeration, air conditioning, the Internet, smart phones, and all those other things you couldn't live without and take completely for granted.
It's just like sea exploration and pioneering brought us cannery, pickling and pasteurization way back in the 1800s. People needed food that could keep during months-long trips.
Necessity is the mother of invention.

Handing the government the reins to manage job availability at the cost of higher taxes for employers and corporations is a great way to create capital flight and turn any nation into Venezuela.
The government is inept. Why do people not know this yet?
These government can’t even decide if the border crisis is a crisis or not and some former conservatives want to give the government even more power? Are you kidding?

I'm sorry but this article is trash. Is it suddenly okay to bully teenagers and tell them to commit suicide because of your opposition to "cancel culture"?
Besides being terrible, Teigen is a massive proponent of cancel culture. But somehow people are supposed to defend her from consequences? Please.
Reminds me of some bad Saturday morning cartoon where the hero refuses to kill Adolf Hitler/Stalin/some other mass murderer because dealing with him “makes you no better than Hitler.” Grow the fuck up.

Legalize heroin. This is the future libertarians want.
“This is still happening even though it’s illegal! The laws don’t work!” isn’t the point you think you’re making.
I’m glad you all think Portland is a success for decriminalizing heroin, fentanyl and meth use.

Antifa owns the streets of Portland. The consequence for standing up for yourself is a trip to the hospital, a large medical bill, and widespread mockery on social media.
He fucked around and found out.
You shouldn’t take on a mob on your own. That’s just dumb. Life isn’t an action movie.

I’d tell people to organize for self-defense but people are just lazy so whatever.

Apart from the one colonizer most of the people in the cars are good little liberals who recognized their white privilege and correctly expressed their anger against the white supremacist.
Texas will turn blue.
