Tamaki wonders if he knows; how hard it is to resist that smile when he uses its full power.
He probably doesn't.
He sighs again, toying with the hem of his gloves. He really shouldn't. Taking off his gloves feels wrong, worse than being completely naked.
He bites his bottom lip, trying to think of what to do. He knows Mirio likes to see his scales, specially under the sunlight. He likes the colors. Tamaki likes them too, but he likes them alone in his room, when he can look at the colors without fearing they'll be seen+
by anyone else.
But Mirio is the son of a Lord, isn't he? He's probably used to get his way with things. How could he tell him no? What if he tells his father about it? What if they kick him out? What it-?
"Hey, Tamaki- it's alright, calm down. It's alright," Mirio mumbles, "breathe, alright? You don't have to do it if you don't want to."
Tamaki looks down, realizing somewhat distantly that his hands started shaking. He's clutching his left hand around his glove, so+
hard he could easily rip off the fabric.
He looks down, trying to calm his breath. Even in here, behind the stone walls of Hope Town, he doesn't feel safe. It's been two weeks, and Tamaki still expects to wake up from this dream back on the road, with the slave traders+
dragging him through dustt roads to be sold. It's too good to be true, his mind whispers. Everything could fall apart at any minute. Every second he spends here, surrounded by these nice people, could be the last.
Dragons never get happy endings, even if they're half-human.
He feels Mirio's fingers grab his right hand, and he quells down the impulse to push him away. He doesn't want to show him, no matter how much the Lord's son wants to see. He doesn't want to show anyone. He wants to go home.
But the Lord's son doesn't remove Tamaki's glove. Instead, he adjusts the glove back in place, so it covers all of Tamaki's hand. He pulls at Tamaki's shirt later, to cover the tiny stripe of skin left on his wrist.
"Alright. Better, right?"
Tamaki stares at him, not knowing what to say or do. Mirio is still holding his gloved hand. He brings it to his mouth and leaves a tiny kiss at the back of Tamaki's hand, a bright reassuring smile on his face.
Tamaki feels something /weird/ in his stomach. Something cold and something warm that melts it. He feels an inexplicable illogical desire to cry.
"I'm sorry I asked," Mirio mumbles, his expression soft, "I just- I think your scales are very pretty. But you don't have+
to show me if you don't want to. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."
The warm thing in Tamaki's chest grows larger, melting the cold away. That's probably why he wants to cry: the liquid needs to go out somehow.
He nods once, weakly, and then feels himself chuckle when Mirio drops another kiss on his gloved hand. He can barely feel the touch, but it feels- soft. Warm.
Tamaki cries a bit- just the slightest bit, but Mirio still seems worried about that. He hugs the Dragon-Blooded, apologizing over and over, untill Tamaki starts to laugh from how ridiculous his train of thought was.
Him being afraid of /Mirio/, or- thinking he wanted to go home.
It's too early to think of this place at home. It's too new and alien and scary for that. But he thinks maybe he could. /Maybe/.
As long as he can stay with Mirio... Anywhere could be a good home.
Mirai's shoulders tense, just as he closes the zipper of his last suitcase. He scolds himself on his foolishness — did he really think he'd be able to avoid Toshinori? Was he really planning to leave their apartment+
like a robber in the night? To disappear without giving the other man an explanation?
Apparently, he was.
He turns around, feeling his heart clench in his chest when he catches sight of Toshinori. They left him out of the hospital, so he's wearing regular civilian+
clothes: jeans and a t-shirt. Mirai wishes he could only see that: the expansion of his muscles under the t-shirt and those strong thighs on the jeans. He wishes he couldn't see the deep dark circles under his eyes, or those thin lines exhaustion is already drawing+
But he wouldn't have imagined this. For the last few weeks, Mirio has been nothing but enthusiastic: he's been all encouragement, keeping Tamaki from somehow abandoning the race even before it started. He was still doing it this morning, when he walked all the+
way to Tamaki's house to make sure he didn't pretend to be sick to avoid showing up to the exam. His best friend had gone as far as to get into Tamaki's room, refusing to leave for the exam until Tamaki begrudgingly got out of bed.
Tamaki has never had much of a gag reflex to begin with. Whatever he had was promptly killed by overstimulation. Mirio's dick just spent too much time in his throat for him not to get used to it.
He loves it, even if there's no power on Earth that can get him to say that aloud. He loves to feel the weight in his tongue, the length stretching his jaw and that salty musk filling his mouth. He loves how Mirio twitches; how he groans and moans and says "more" and+
"please" as if there was nothing but this moment in the world. It's different from when they fuck, when Tamaki's mind is blurry by pleasure. Like this, there's only Mirio: beautiful and eager and needy for /him/.
I watched this video of a little dog bringing home a cat and now I can only think of dog hybrid Mirio that befriends cat hybrid Tamaki 🥺
Mirio is a home puppy, well-loved and cared for, but his owner is really busy, so he is often alone at home. And that's how+
one day he befriends this cat kid that was searching on their garbage.
Mirio didn't think that there was anything super tasty there, so he shared some of his food with the other hybrid. The first time, Tamaki grabbed a mouthful of food and ran away as fast as he could. But+
whenever he happened to come by, the dog hybrid didn't attack him. Instead, Mirio seemed happy to see him: he even pushed his dog plate all the way to the backyard so Tamaki could have food comfortably.
Y'all are liking this faster than I can get screenshots 😂
(1) A MIRITAMA JOINT TRAINING FIC - It's on pause for now because EVENTS, and because writing fight scenes is hard 😂 But the world will be getting some Mirio and Tamaki smacking each other ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
