In "SMart mobILity at the European land borders" (SMILE) haben (auch deutsche) Firmen und Institute an Verfahren zur biometrischen Grenzkontrolle gearbeitet und in Rumänien, Ungarn, Bulgarien ausprobiert:

Am 31. Dezember endete ein EU-Programm zur Ausrüstung und Ausbildung von "Küstenwache" sowie "Seepolizei" in #Libyen:

Die Kommission gab 4 Mio. Euro aus, unter anderem wurden davon 2 Schiffe modernisiert und eine #MRCC-Leitstelle für #Pullbacks errichtet. ImageImageImageImage
Die Ausbildung von Personal der #GACS und der #LCGPS erfolgte in Tunesien und Italien. Das Programm wird fortgesetzt:

Der Fokus liegt im weiteren Auf- und Ausbau des #MRCC.
Folgt eine dritte Phase?
Kürzlich machte die EU-Kommission weitere Angaben zur Migrationsabwehr in #Libyen:

Laut dieser Kurzübersicht von gestern erlaubt der EU-UK-Ausstiegsvertrag den britischen Verbleib im
* Passagierdatensytem #PNR,
* Strafregistersystem #ECRIS,
* Datentausch via #Prüm (DNA, Fingerabdrücke, zukünftig Gesichtsbilder)

Das Schengener Informationssystem (SIS II) muss UK wie erwartet verlassen. Das bedeutet, dass 36.828 Personenfahndungen und 4.576.398 Sachfahndungen zum 1. Januar 2021 gelöscht werden müssen (die Zahlen sind von 2019:
dipbt.bundestag.de/doc/btd/19/167…).
UK nutzt auch verdeckte Artikel 36-Fahndungen sehr intensiv, sowohl durch Polizei als auch Geheimdienste. Dass die Behörden dies als sehr großen Verlust betrachten, wurde vor einigen Jahren bei einer Anhörung im Parlament deutlich:
