.@unicefchief Henrietta Holsman Fore was forced to resign as trustee from Wellesley College in 1987 over racist remarks she made about the work ethics of blacks, Hispanics & Asians.

NYT: She said "blacks preferred pushing drugs to working in a factory."

.@nytimes: "Ms. Holsman reiterated her statement that she had trouble keeping black assembly-line workers from going 'back to the street to earn more money' selling drugs."

"In her lecture, Ms. Holsman also said she had found Hispanic workers to be lazy."

In 2007, then Senator Obama and Senator Menendez almost blocked her appointment to the State Department over the racially charged remarks.

Why did the UN never discuss this when she was named to head @UNICEF? ImageImage
"In her confirmation hearing, Obama pressed Fore to explain the remarks. She said she was merely talking about stereotypes that exist about black workers—not what she believed. But Obama left the hearing unsatisfied & launched a probe into her background."

For some people, any good news about Israel is a problem. It disturbs their worldview, and makes them angry. And so their reaction to this year's good news about Israel’s vaccines was to twist it into something sinister.

My debate at UNHRC's 46th session:
"The canard that began to circulate was summarized by the comic TV news presenter on Saturday Night Live, who said, “Israel is reporting that they've vaccinated half their population — and I'm going to guess it's the Jewish half.”
"This is exactly what many around the world now believe.

Madam President, I am taking the floor today to state for the record, before the United Nations, and before the world: That is a lie."

The United Nations should unequivocally condemn the 3,000 terrorist rocket attacks this week by Hamas against Israeli civilians, declare such acts a threat to international peace and security, and reaffirm Israel's inherent right of self-defense under the UN Charter.

It won't.
The United Nations should reaffirm the need to combat by all means, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts.
The UN should express deep concern at Hamas & Islamic Jihad acts of terrorism motivated by intolerance or extremism, and call on States to work together urgently to prevent & suppress terrorist acts, including through full implementation of international conventions on terrorism.
