Federal public defender for Shane Jenkins (Capitol defendant with the “MAMA TRIED” neck tattoo who was filmed smashing out a window with a tomahawk) argues the government hasn’t accurately portrayed Jenkins’ actions on Jan. 6, and say he tried to help an officer seized by crowd.

The government, in this 5/18 filing, said Jenkins "believes he is justified in using physical violence to advance his political objectives” and pointed to his rhetoric comparing Jan. 6 to the American Revolution. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
