A consolidated thread about China & Uyghur issue "researcher" Adrian Zenz.

His reports about "1 million Uyghur in concentration camps", "forced sterilization", "coerced labor" is widely cited by MSM but never peer-reviewed by any social scientists or demographic researchers.
Zenz initiated the "1 million" number, obtained from a Turkey-based Uighur separatist media which regularly features extremists like jihadist preacher Nureddin Yıldız, urging Uighur people to “do Jihad not only against China but also Jews & others”.
As a top expert in demographics, Zenz demonstrated his amazing math ability in calculating dropping birth rate
In order to fit the "forced sterilization" narrative, Zenz invented the concept "net IUD insertions"
As an expert in China and Uyghur issues, Zenz does not speak or write Chinese or the Uighur language. He never conducted any first-hand investigation. His “research” is done from his house in Korntal, Germany. archive.is/ifGo8
This is how Zenz conduct research - read Chinese govt report (which he is unable to understand directly) and misinterpret them
There are many examples of Zenz misinterpret Chinese language.

For example, he mistranslated a plural term “中华民族” ("Chinese peoples", "ethnicities of Chinese nationality") to a singular term "Chinese Nation-Race" to suggest assimilation
Another example is 长治久安, where 治 should mean stability, but he translated as "rule".
Zenz's report disapproving himself in the genocide claim
Academic integrity: Zenz attended a panel where other people pointed out errors in his report. He modified the report after the panel and then claimed that he corrected it before the panel.
A biostatistics professor reviewed his research regarding whether birthrate drop can be used as a proof for ”forced sterilization“ or "genocide"
Zenz wrote a reply, but didn't answered any of the substantive criticisms. The professor's further criticism are in the replies of this thread
Another economics professor addressing Zenz's reply
Extended reading: another consolidation thread regarding birthrates
"peer review" in Zenz's "academic" circle
Zenz: "Xinjiang pays Uyghurs to pray"
Zenz showing his love for Muslims around the world
Zenz's personal take on the Al-Aqsa mosque. Not sure if it's related
Zenz really hates being referred to as far-right.
When people say that Zenz is far-right, this is what it means (thread)
Why did Zenz try to repurpose family planning & birth control as "forced serialization" & "genocide"?
Zenz: A free DAY-CARE program enabling women to take paid jobs outside their homes & improve family status is "dissolution of traditional, religious and family life!!!" 😭😭😭 It's "increasing family separation"!! Must be "involuntary labor"!!
Zenz doesn't like being called a Nazi either. But he does work for a foundation that whitewash Nazis by counting Nazis killed by Soviet soldiers defending their home as "victim of communism" 🤔🤔

I don't think it's any worth to argue with them. They are on an agenda to push for a narrative that waters down terms like "colonialism", "imperialism" & "genocide". When these terms are arbitrarily used, the original significance is diluted and lost.

Adrian Zenz proudly "debunk" a real professor's question about his "research": "I reviewed local academic literature!!! 😭😭😭" with a screenshot of his report in which he misinterpreted EVERY SINGLE Chinese term he cited.
Zenz, In case you don't know, access to birth control and family planning services is the BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS of women!!!! You think women around the world are going to watch your far-right propaganda get broadcasted by MSM 24/7 and not to call you out?

Since the topic is brought up, I'll give another examples of how these far-right religious conservatives are pushing for a narrative that's endangering gender-equality, blocking women from accessing family planning, job opportunities & independence
In a report regarding "coerced labor", Zenz claims that the programs providing Uighur women workers with “full-time (at least full day-time) education and training settings” for kids will result in "dissolution of traditional, religious and family life" archive.is/9uDHV Image
A free DAY-CARE program!!! So many working women around world DREAM about resources like that!! No one would regard it as a threat to "traditional, religious and family life" except someone who sincerely believes that it's a SIN for women to work and gain financial power

Why you're calculating education attainment against the whole population aged 15+, and not for school age population only? School age data is much more relevant & is very compelling in showing XJ's EXCEPTIONAL improvement especially for Uyghur students.
HS enrollment increased 32%, jumped from falling behind to leading the nation. In four (Uyghur majority) southern XJ prefectures, middle school graduates entering HS increased from 38% in 2009 to 84% in 2014 and 98.6% today. A 60% increase!
Also, minority students took up only 60% of the student body in 2010, and increased to 77.5% in 2019. This is another evidence showing how minority students were falling behind in education and quickly caught up with Han students in the past 10 years.

I made it clear that underaged marriage &
inadequate education is the problem of POVERTY. It happens in Han communities & other countries as well. Your calling girls going to school "civilized the brutes" really exposed your colonizer mentality. ImageImage
So stop projecting yourself and labeling everything you don't like "racist". No civilization is better than another, and no one ever "civilized" anyone. EVERY SINGLE PERSON living on the earth, DESERVE MODERNIZATION!
Not everyone is born as a privileged westerner in a developed country like you. Women living in developing countries also deserve education, jobs and financial independence. I'm sure they'll make their education more worthwhile than yours.
