I had a near kidnapping experience in this Lagos yesterday. Thank God for intuition, some fast & furious laced with fayawo tactics, 1 of many LASTMA officials & hubby that picked his call @ first ring. Still feels like a nightmare #PTSD
The #insecurity in Nigeria is underrated.

@trafficbutter @Gidi_Traffic I was tailed for over 25 minutes. Speed for speed. The kidnapping tactics of vehemently telling you to check somethg in your car is back. They wanted to cut me short in my prime within Ikeja axis but God said no.

A man & a woman (in white cowries headgear). The windows at the back were tinted. Can't tell if there were more ppl. They desperately wanted me to park. But I knew the end won't be good, I could get shot, jinxed or kidnapped. Elemi lo ma last...then my low fuel indicator came on

The next fuel station was too scanty. But I drove in regardless. I flashed back @ "post-event CCTV footages" & knew coming here to be rescued was a wrong move. With the way they drove in after me, the salesperson ran off & other cars fled too. Ah! I have never been that helpless!

I reversed, my intending assailants did too.I stopped indicating my directions, breezed thru Acme, Sunday Market & gained more meters with some fayawo tactics..the V6 wasn't oblivion of the danger I was in...it rev'd too. This time, I was shouting "Grey Corolla kidnapper, ole!"

The LASTMA officials weren't perturbed. It must be a familiar scenario. 😥 I didn't stop shouting.. More meters & a young LASTMA official took the initiative to stop all cars behind me & told me to head towards Ogba Police Station. Same thing hubby said as I called in distress..

The young LASTMA scrampled off immediately, I wasn't sure what startled him. I didn't get a proper view from the mirror. I drove to the station to feel secured and to threaten them. I narrated my ordeal to the officer at the gate in milliseconds. #insecurity

I wasn't allowed to drive into the compound but the policeman positioned his gun. People started running towards their Silver Corolla 2011. Not sure of the mobs reaction, they abruptly took a U-turn and drove off. @trafficbutter

Bystanders said there were more people at the back, some said they were fetish, I was just grateful for the sigh of relief. The policeman asked if I had huge sum..Huge sum ke? I nor even get sum. He praised me for not parking/stopping & said it's a rebranded kidnapping techq.

Stay safe out there. God won't let us be part of the statistics. Don't castigate anyone with a Plan B, just pray for yours to align. Nowhere is safe! Make person nor come waste my life. I be person pikin, I be person wife, I am a mother to a community.
