You can abhor antisemitism in all its forms and abhor the treatment of Palestinians by the Israeli government. Anyone who tells you otherwise is presenting a false choice. Anyone who tells you otherwise fears dissent.
stephens and his ilk exploit our trauma by telling us that speaking out against the occupation is causing direct harm to our community. as a jew, i have never been taught that silence is the answer.
