I will be translating Sayed Hassan #Nasrallah's speech on the occasion of the National Day of Resistance and Liberation.

#Nasrallah: I apologize for my absence, I was going through health problems which prevented me from making speeches. We have been through important, historical days, & since the first day I've been talking with resistance factions in Gaza, which I will mainly talk about today.

#Nasrallah: I congratulate you all in this month of May on two great victories shared by Palestinians & Lebanese. May 25, 2000, victory of lebanon's resistance against occupiers. May 21, 2021 to the great Palestinians and their resistance. God bless fighters, martyrs, injured...

#Nasrallah: we always assert that the victory of 2000 was not the result of one group, but the culmination of many years of resistance and sacrifice from all Lebanese, and the many groups of national resistance, including Palestinian and Syrian groups.

#Nasrallah: we not only talk about the South who was on the front lines, but all of Lebanon, especially the Bekaa who has offered great sacrifices in our fight against the zionist occupiers. From Beirut, to the North, to the South, it was a victory created by all.

#Nasrallah: from Bent Jbeil we dedicated this victory to Palestine, the ultimate goal. All our hopes lie in Al-Quds. The 2000 victory created new power balances, new positions and strategies. The zionist leadership claimed this defeat created an existential threat to Israel

#Nasrallah: Israel tried to bring down both resistence groups in Lebanon & Gaza & failed everytime. In 2006 & in their wars against Gaza (and through the siege) they had the goal to exterminate the resistance but never succeeded. As we said the victory of 2000 change everything

#Nasrallah: Now on Gaza, will not go over the details we have all followed since the start. We all know the events started in Jerusalem (aggressions on worshippers) and the dispossessions in Sheikh-Jarrah which is part of their plans of ethnic cleansing.

#Nasrallah: it was clear that Jerusualem with its people, strategic location, and important sanctities found itself in dangerous crosshairs. The Gazan resistance decided to take a historical and steadfast position in defense of zionist attacks in Sheikh Jarrah and Al Aqsa

#Nasrallah: The Gazan resistance warned of retaliatory action if the Zionists continues their aggressions, and they took the decision at the right time to uphold their threats. The reason behind the events was the stupidity of the Zionist leadership (netenyahu) as always

#nasrallah: these errors from the zionist leadership is what led to their defeat many times. I don't expect the enemy to be wise but it's important to make it clear that our enemies are idiots. And because of that, the land will return to the rightful owners.

#Nasrallah: they think if they disposses the rightful owner of homes in Sheikh Jarrah or attack worshippers in Al-Aqsa, they will only be faced with empty slogans. Of course the Arab world will not oppose them as they're normalizing relations and collaborating with zionists

#Nasrallah: it was completely out of zionist mind that Gaza would respond. As they go through 15 years of siege, suffocating economy, covid-19, still suffering from effects of last war. But Gaza surprised it's friends and enemies. And the Zionists failed in their calculations.

#Nasrallah: what Gaza (the resistance & people) advanced was a historical step against the enemy that must be highly esteemed. This time Gaza stepped up to protect Jerusalem & not itself. When the resistance took this decision, it knew that it would have to offer great sacrifices

#Nasrallah: this decision was backed by faith, sacrifice & courage, it moved all of Palestine into action. We saw great protests on the borders in Lebanon, Jordan & around the world. This showed the Zionists that they must reavalute everything before aggressing with impunity

#Nasrallah: when Christian & Muslim sanctities are under threat in the holy site, there's no more red lines. Seif al-Quds battle created great results: unity amongst palestinians, moving together under the same goals. Revival of the Palestinian cause in the world that many forgot

#Nasrallah: it brought back life of the cause through all the territories, from the river to the sea. It brought back the culture of intifada & resistance as the best means towards liberation. It silenced the traitors (normalizers) who claim Palestinians gave up on their cause

#Nasrallah: after this battle, I am one of those who says clearly the deal of the century failed greatly. Zionists failed with their US masters, when the US itself asks for the dispossesions to stop it demonstrates that their plans to steal the capital Jerusalem, failed.

#Nasrallah: it re-aligned the compass in the area towards Palestine, which was being diverted by traitors (Arab normalizers) trying to erase and make us forget the fight against the occupiers who commit massacres.

#Nasrallah: were not talking abt 2 equal states, we need to understand there's an occupying entity with the largest army & most precise weapons in the area. And then there's small strip, flat land, w/ 2 million ppl besieged from every corner, against large occupied Israeli land

#Nasrallah: and the resistance who's weapons came through smuggling 😌, and local manufacturing. This besieged city with its will, faith, patience, courage and loyalty was able to produce such results against the strongest army in the area and their most advanced weapons
