🧵In my meeting today w/US Secretary of State @SecBlinken. I told him that w/out making Israel's occupation costly, nothing will change—it is now a 1 state reality of apartheid from the river to the sea. The US should nix their $735 million sale to Israel.
I told @SecBlinken of the last 4 years of Trump—cutting UNWRA & US aid, closing the PA office, expanding settlements and violence without accountability, moving embassy to Jerusalem, the nation state law against Palestinians inside Israel. I asked him to visit #SheikhJarrah
I asked @SecBlinken to hear from the families directly, and to visit Gaza to see the full destruction. I asked him up visit my home city Hebron where walkways are divided, one side for Jews, one side for Palestinians.
I asked @SecBlinken to have the US administration have direct contact with Palestinians inside Israel & listen to their needs and suffering from inequality, discrimination, apartheid.
I told @SecBlinken that as a Palestinian, I am under the Israeli military law and the Israeli settlers are under Israeli civilian law. I’m not allowed to do any kind of peaceful protesting. As a human rights defender, I was attacked five times in the last two weeks.
I told @SecBlinken that this month was attacked twice by Israeli settlers & stones thrown toward my house, our @YASHebron community center in Tel Rumeida in Hebron. Soldiers raided the house & threatened to shoot me & beat me up for documenting human rights violations.
I asked @SecBlinken to pressure the PA and Israel to hold the Palestinian elections in Jerusalem & pressure the PA to stop its violations & respect free speech. PA-related gangs shot toward my house to silence me 2 days ago & I showed Blinken@hrw report on PA brutality.
I told @SecBlinken that I was moved by the US civil rights movement and its principles of justice, equality & freedom. I want the Biden administration to make the occupation costly for Israel so that we Palestinians finally get freedom, justice, equality, and self-determination.
I told @SecBlinken that we want the relations between the US and Palestine to be political relations, not only security relations or charity. Security is important but we need political relations to be a priority moving forward. The US should reinstate the PA mission in DC
I told @SecBlinken that I was arrested in Jerusalem when I tried to retrieve my visa from the US consulate. I showed him the @hrw and @btselem reports labeling Israel as apartheid state from the river to the sea. I asked him to have the US administration to use the term apartheid

Today in Ofer military court, the prosecution asked the judge to sentence me to the maximum amount of time possible for each of the 6 counts I have been convicted on, which I was advised I will receive as a suspended sentence.
1-10
In addition, I was notified that I will receive a fine of an amount that has not yet been determined. The military judge will decide on the specifics of my sentence over the next few weeks.
2-10
The fact that I have not been imprisoned at this stage demonstrates that the international focus and pressure around my case has worked and the Israeli military court has determined that they do not wish to face more scrutiny on this subject.
