This is what you need to know.
Starting today you can eat indoors with up to 6 people at a table. It does not have to be people in your same household. #bcpoli
Youth sports are back to games. So are adult rec sports. They can play games starting today OUTDOORS. #bcpoli
Travel restrictions in BC are still in place. You cannot travel for recreational reasons outside of your health region. #bcpoli
Low-intensity group fitness classes are back on. Religious gatherings can take place indoors with safety protocols in place starting today. #bcpoli
The next step can begin as early as June 15 and is based on 65% vaccination (one dose) and based on declining cases and hospitalizations. #bcpoli
Step 2 includes movie theatres open up to 50 people. And includes recreational travel across BC. #bcpoli
Step 2 includes outdoor personal gatherings up to 50 people, this could include weddings and other events. There will be up to 50 fans for outdoor sports. #bcpoli
The earliest for step 3 is July 1 and requires low COVID cases, declining hospitalizations and 70% vaccination (one dose). #bcpoli
Step 3 includes a return to usual indoor and outdoor personal gatherings. This includes sleepovers. #bcpoli
Step 3 includes increased capacity for indoor and outdoor gatherings. It could also include fairs and festivals with safety protocols. #bcpoli
Step 3 also includes Canada wide travel. #bcpoli
Step 3 includes increasing limited spectators for indoor sports and no limit on indoor dining. #bcpoli
Casinos, bingo halls and nightclubs can open as soon as July 1. #bcpoli
The final step is step 4. This is based on more than 70% first vaccine and low cases and low immunization. And will happen on September 7 at the earliest. #bcpoli

Questions begin. First question is about one doses vs. two doses as measuring stick. Dr. Henry says different strains of virus is being watched very carefully. The province is watching variant spread carefully and techniques to cut transmission work against all strains. #bcpoli
On vaccine passports, Dr. Henry says work has been done with Ombudsman about how this could work. The province is worried about inequities for services and public access. Will be necessary for international travel. #bcpoli

Dix says over the next week in the aged base program those 58+ will receive notification to book tonight. Says Pfizer will double next week. By Monday the age invitations will speed up. #bcpoli
