They both went to the hotel's balcony and exclaimed their excitement as they saw the sky full of colors reflected in the sea.
"This is so cool!" exclaimed Hyukjae.
"It's really amazing." Donghae was silent for a few seconds. "It's so beautiful," he murmured.
Hyukjae nodded. Donghae couldn't stop looking at the scenery in front of them and Hyukjae didn't want to interrupt him yet. The sky was turning orange, the clouds were deflecting the light. Everything was so calm.
Donghae sighed deeply and Hyukjae looked at him.
"What are you thinking about?"
Donghae lifted his shoulders. He hugged his boyfriend's arm, seeking his warmth.
He felt a little emotional, beautiful scenery always made him think about his childhood, his family, how grateful he was for everything he had. He bit his lip.
Hyukjae stroked his hair and Donghae had to break away after a few seconds to wipe away his tears. He was grateful for Hyukjae too.
"There it is," Hyukjae said with a knowing smile on his face, making his boyfriend laugh.
"Why does it keep happening," he joked.
Hyukjae watched, touched, as Donghae tried to cover his face.
Ever since they knew each other Donghae had so many tears to shed, it was endearing. Seeing him get emotional over things like a beautiful view or children playing made him remember their teenage years,
when Donghae was even more sensitive. While they had matured, and gone through some difficulties in life, Donghae's purity of heart was still there. Hyukjae hoped he would never lose that virtue.
He held his boyfriend's hands and pulled them away from his face. Instead, Hyukjae used his own hands to wipe away his tears. Donghae looked at him with puppy eyes.
Hyukjae combed his hair delicately with his fingers and Donghae smiled softly.
"Do I look bad?"
Hyukjae shook his head, removing his hands from his boyfriend's face.
"Your eyes are sparkling. I'll never know how you do that."
"Do you think anyone will see us if we cuddle out here?"
Hyukjae laughed and opened his arms.
"Come here, we're leaving tomorrow anyway."
Donghae smiled and came closer to hug his waist.
Hyukjae put an arm around his shoulders, they both looked at the scenery again.

In their teenage years, Donghae got a hairstyle he hated for their upcoming debut. Hyukjae tries to comfort him.]
Hyukjae frowned as he heard a stifled cry when he arrived at the salon for his haircut appointment.
He looked around and saw a guy on the waiting room couch. He was lying face down, his face buried in a cushion, and he had a bunch of rollers in his hair. After a few seconds, Hyukjae recognized him and got closer to him.
"Donghae?"
"Go away."
"Did something happen?"
"I don't want you to see me."
"Why?"
"Just go away. Go!" Hyukjae approached his friend. He crouched down on the side of the sofa.
"I can't leave, I have an appointment," he said softly.
Donghae stayed silent. A few seconds later, he sobbed.
Hyukjae wanted to roll his eyes. While he was taking a call at the bar they decided to go to, Donghae made a new friend: the man sitting next to him.
Donghae was sometimes a bit naive, not realizing that many people were interested in him in a romantic way when Donghae just wanted to talk. Hyukjae couldn't tell the number of times someone tried to get his number when they were out on a date.
At that moment, the guy at the bar was talking to him. And he talked and talked. And he was a little too close for Hyukjae’s liking. Donghae was laughing.
Hyukjae had already hung up a few seconds ago, but Donghae turned his back to talk to the man.

“Daddy!”
Donghae smiled as he saw Haru running towards him. It was five o'clock in the afternoon, Haru had finished her day at the kindergarten and Donghae went to pick her up.
They both could rest at home until Hyukjae arrived a couple of hours later.
The little girl raised her arms and Donghae bent down to give her a hug.
“Up!” Donghae laughed and carried her in his arms, making her laugh too.
“Hey baby, did you eat all your food?”
“Hm!” Donghae kissed her cheek repeatedly. He carried her to the car and settled her in the seat.
“Don't move, love.” Haru stirred in her car seat, making it difficult to secure the belt. Eventually, Donghae managed to do it and went to the driver's seat.
Donghae smiled mischievously at Hyukjae when he saw that the movie theater was practically empty. There were only about three people in the center row.
He took his boyfriend's hand again and led them to the last row.
Once they both sat down, Hyukjae looked at him.
“What?” Said Donghae.
“Are you planning something?”
“Why?”
“You chose the farthest seats.” Hyukjae raised his eyebrows.
Donghae bakes a cake for Hyukjae but accidentally drops it while trying to carry it to the table. Hyukjae laughs until he see Donghae’s tears and spends an hour comforting him.] #eunhae
Donghae smiled. Baking was definitely not his thing, but the decoration was pretty good in his humble opinion. He knew that, as long as it was something sweet, Hyukjae would appreciate it.
After cleaning up the mess he left in the kitchen, he put the cake away in the fridge.
He went to the bathroom to wash his hands and face, changed his clothes and put on a dark green sweater.
For the past few days Hyukjae had mentioned over and over again a strawberry and chocolate cake that his mother used to make when they were little.
