Israel's war crimes in Gaza are no accident. They are ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ป.

2008: Israel formally adopted the ๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ, making disproportionate force against civilian populations the official policy of the army. The doctrineโs logic is that terrorizing civilians will force the resistance to stop.
UN Fact-Finding Mission on Gaza 2009 says ๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ involves "the application of disproportionate force & the causing of great damage & destruction to civilian property & infrastructure, & suffering to civilian populations," to deter resistance groups.

The Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism (JDA), despite its omission of representative Palestinian perspectives, provides an alternative to the fraudulent IHRA definition in the fight against anti-Jewish racism, discrimination and hostility.
The JDA largely respects freedom of expression related to the struggle for Palestinian rights, including BDS advocacy and opposition to Zionism & to Israelโs regime of occupation, settler-colonialism & apartheid.
Definitions alone cannot dismantle antisemitism. Progressives must commit to dismantling anti-Jewish racism alongside all other forms of racism and oppression. We endorse the following publication from progressive Jewish partners.
