LOOK: Galvez presents schedule of COVID-19 vaccine deliveries to PH for the second quarter.
Citing the situation in US, UK, and Israel, Galvez says that vaccination can work against the pandemic.
Galvez cites challenge in achieving herd immunity, urges citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19: Kailangan po nating hikayatin ang ating kababayan na magkaroon ng masigasig na bakunahan sa buong bansa.
Duterte: Yung mga tao who would like to demand Pfizer at walang iba, ay hindi pwede 'yan.
Duterte: Eh kung gusto niyo sigurado Pfizer and you begin to be selective. Hindi pwede 'yan.
Duterte: Ang Pfizer, iisa lang sa dini-distribute natin. If you demand exclusively ‘yung Pfizer… how about the others? Eh kung ubusin niyo ang Pfizer, eh lahat ng Pilipino na gusto ang Pfizer, hindi mabigyan.
Duterte: I cannot administer exclusive Pfizer sa isang lugar to the exclusion of other Filipinos. Basta may bakuna, period. And the best bakuna really is the one available for you.
Duterte: I cannot administer exclusive Pfizer sa isang lugar to the exclusion of other Filipinos. Kailangan talaga i-mix 'yan tsaka blind yung mga tao sa binibigay. Basta may bakuna, period. And the best bakuna really is the one available for you.
Duterte: If you begin to be selective, the others [will] begin to be agitated about the potency na pareho naman sana iba.
Duterte: There must be equality in everything. Kung sana maraming Pfizer tapos hindi maibigay sa inyo, then you have every reason to complain. But if it is a limited number, tapos gusto niyo sa inyo lang, hindi pwede ‘yan.
Duterte: Vaccine is vaccine. Walang pilian 'yan.
Duterte: There are so many variants now. It’s better to have the vaccine right away without being choosy.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año 22,838,875 beneficiaries have so far received financial assistance or "ayuda" from the government.
Duterte: What is being given to you now by the DILG ito yung tulong...Pay attention sa nakikita niyo ngayon, sabi niyo walang binigay ang gobyerno na tulong. Nauubos nga dahil sa assistance ninyo. DILG has been very diligent in giving the money.
Duterte: Pay attention to the figures, because you would know kung magkano ang binibigay ng gobyerno na ayuda para sa Pilipinong naghihirap.
DILG chief Año says the agency will release a memo, guidelines that will help fast-track inoculation efforts.
DILG chief Año says the agency has tasked barangay officials to strictly implement COVID-19 health protocols to prevent ‘superspreader’ events.

Duterte slams anew mass gatherings amid the pandemic: Huwag niyo ako pilitin na talagang pahirapan ko kayo. We will review the national laws regarding the matter.
Duterte: Most of you are committing a crime, because after a gathering, a lot of you are positive na of COVID-19. Parang binabalewala niyo yung pakiusap ng gobyerno.
Duterte: I will look for a suitable law because you are now forcing my hand to get into this thing and control.
Duterte on reported mass gatherings: Much as we’d like to reduce the COVID cases, eh kung ganoon ang ginagawa niyo, walang katapusan na ito. You know the danger of getting together.
Duterte: Kayong mga barangay captain, do you know you have committed a crime of dereliction of duty?...Talagang ang unang ipakulong ko ay yung barangay captain.

Duterte: I'm ordering the police to arrest the barangay captain and bring him to the station. Investigate him for dereliction of duty, having failed to enforce the law.
Duterte: Kasi mga barangay captain kayo, persons in authority, tapos wala kayong gawin...You are not doing anything, then I will order your arrest.
Duterte on mass gatherings: Pag naulit ito, ang unang hulihin, ang barangay captain. Kasi pag nangyari, ibig sabihin, you gave the permission. Ngayon kung there's a party or swimming at wala kang ginawa, ikaw ang hulihin kong una.
Duterte: Kapag may one single incident beginning tonight, the police will just arrest the barangay captain first and bring him to the station, together with yung mga nagpi-picnic diyan. Have them investigated and detain them.
Duterte: I hate it. Malaki ang respeto ko sa barangay captain. But please understand na hindi ko request 'to. I am telling you that it is your duty to prevent these kinds of events from happening in your jurisdiction.
Duterte: Itong barangay captain, mabigat 'yan, you can be charged and detained. Maghintay ka ng inquest.
Duterte: The police must play an important role. Do not be afraid… you can use reasonable force if there is a resistance to the arrest.
Duterte: Ayoko yung mga pulis ma-preso dahil nagtatrabaho. Kasi kung dinedemanda ninyo tapos ang pulis pa ang magkakaso for doing his duty, ibang istorya na 'yan. Hindi na storya ng human rights 'yan. So better, yung human rights must study their law also.
