What occurred in our society over the last decade or so is that "PC culture" became weaponized.
The clearest example of this is gender theory...
What started in a noble place as "Let's not make life harder on transgender people" (PC culture) was then manufactured into a bludgeon: "You are a bigot if you don't support biological males playing sports against young girls!".
The ideologues turned the sentiment of sympathy inherently related to the former into a very effective and valuable tool for forcing unpopular ideology down the throat of the masses.
Add in a fragile and cowardly populace and this weapon reigned supreme!
This is where we stand today; the final perverse chapters of this sequence. But humans long ago proved they can very easily get drunk on power. Once this weapon was created, once this can of worms was opened, there was no putting it back in the bottle.
Instead, what occurred...
is that this become a beacon, a magnet, for the "weak" and power-thirsty. An opportunity presented itself and those who could benefit from it have pounced! Of course, it wouldn't work without our modern society being so soft and hyper-sensitive; but alas, that's where we are.
And this bludgeon has now become the favorite tool (possibly the ONLY tool) of the activists. We showed them how effective and impactful it was, so they began producing this weapon in mass. There is literally an entire cultural of it now.
It's a vile and toxic mechanism. It's also, IMO, quite a predictable end-result of The Progressive Experiment. We didn't get to where we are today; there's been a long and continual push towards these directions. Few took the time to read the writing on the wall, however.
Anyways, the above thinking is why the below concept intrigued me so much last week. I spent a lot of time contemplating it, and it is beginning to jump out at me as a root to much of what we're grappling with today.
"Poor white children get more access to educational opportunity. . .than the WEALTHIEST Black kids."
What an asinine statement. A desired spearhead that simply doesn't exist. The way that distorts our reality is not only erroneous, it is intentional, devious and disgusting.
Ive written two threads in the last week that were right in this vein. There is this (very intentional) mechanism going on where people present rational good faith-sounding arguments, but buried below is a knife of bare racism being twisted in. Look for it; it's common right now.
It usually doesn't take much parsing for this to reveal itself...
"They recruit the top Asian, Black and a brown students, whose work subsidizes the academic reputation fir the rest of the mediocre, rich white students. 👈
This is the stuff that infuriates me! Read the entire article below; grasp the purpose of the plan. Then look at the framing of the two passages I pasted.
The rational basis for this is to close a wealth gap. That those from wealthy families often get parental down payments for their first home. This is how the rich get richer/stay rich. OK, that registers, even if one may disagree w/ the mechanism.
But then it switches tracks...
Suddenly there's all this language about race. One quote that gives off the impression if you're white you have rich parents. What?!? There are millions more white Americans under the poverty line than black Americans.
Always keep in mind, the people of Jamestown were convinced of their own righteousness right up to the moment they dipped a foam cup into that vat.
*Jonestown 😳
While my mindless mistake above stole my thunder, Jonestown is one of the most significant happenings in modern times, IMO. It reveals the atrocities that can occur when human beings become consumed by ideologies which operate in a cult-like manner.
I'm retweeting this because it's relevant to our times. But I'd strongly encourage all of you to consider not clicking and reading it. Chris has some really scary connections to the far-right and he often posts his whistle-blower documents without sufficient context.
You know what doesn't get nearly enough discussion?
The fact that Bill/Melinda Gates are funding the below. An ideology that says showing your work and finding the right answer are aspects of white supremacy.
We have an entire media/cultural apparatus aggressively pushing gender theory at our children's minds as young as 3yrs old (see thread below), but to @chasestrangio, the problem is 60 Minutes running a segment on the other side of the story; THAT is "dangerous".
