The first of three installments was credited in the account of 4.07 crore women Jan Dhan account holders in first week of April. This led to massive queues at banks fueled by rumors that the amount must be withdrawn immediately. 3/n
A clarification was issued that the amount has reached your account and can be withdrawn anytime. 4/n
Fast forward to May 2021. Out of all those pictures & videos of Jan Dhan account queues, RW dig out a video that only shows Muslim women and circulate it with a message saying ‘look, recognize and understand where your tax money is going’. 5/n
These are not random accounts. One is followed by the prime minister of India. The other is close to several ruling party leaders and runs a channel that is known for its communal messaging. 6/n
