Once a Nambudri was travelling from Tripunirura to ernakulam across the rolling hills.

That place was occupied by the notorious Moplas who were creating trouble to the government.
On the way, the Nambudri was attacked by some Moplas and money he was carrying was stolen by them.

The grief-stricken man broke his journey and rush to the palace and complained to the great King, Rama Varma - Shakthan Tamburan.
The King, took this as a challange to his governance and issued Royal order asking all the Moplas to assemble at the Palace gate. Many of them assembled there posing with an unafraid attitude.

Shakthan Tamburan appeared at the balcony.
