It’s come to my attention that there is a group of people going around calling me “creepy” and a “rancid predator” because of the fact that I said minors are allowed to follow me as long as they don’t interact. That particularly bothers me, so I’m going to talk about it ☺️

I have never knowingly interacted with a minor. Everyone I ever had a conversation with— and ESPECIALLY NSFW convos—, has been with the impression that we are Both adults. Some minors have lied about their ages and gone back on it— that is not my fault. I am not friends with, in

chats with, etc, with any minor that I am aware of.

However, I don’t care if minors follow me because:
1. I am not responsible for their behavior, only mine
2. Screening everyone who checks my content is impossible
3. It is not my responsibility to police NSFW as a whole, it

is only my responsibility to police MY space, which I have by never interacting by minors that I know of.

These people have RAN with that response and said things like:

However, their ONLY source of me being a “rancid predator” is the fact that idc what accounts minors follow, and the fact that a list I made had a minor on it (that I was not aware of, that person recently changed their age, and I removed them).

Very thin reasoning lol.

I don’t really care about these people, but I want to point out that the responsibility for keeping minors out of NSFW spaces isn’t just on creators. It’s on the minors as well, to keep themselves out.

I have warnings on my bio, in my pinned. If minors trip over those warnings

to follow? Not my fault. I have “minors DNI” in my bio as well.

I would ALSO like to point out that minors have LIED about their ages before. Personally, I would rather have a known minor silently consuming my content than someone I BELIEVE is an adult—but isn’t— that I interact

with. I would rather have a minor that I can knowingly ignore than a minor that lies about their age to talk to me.

I have almost 3k followers split across 2 accounts. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to screen every account, and would take away much of my enjoyment in fandom.

Moreover, it’s not my responsibility to do so. I make content for MYSELF first, and I’m lucky that other people enjoy it. Expecting a creator, any creator, to do that is ridiculous.

Do people ask porn actors if all the people that watch their vids are adults? No.

Do you ask

adult published writers if all their customers are adults? No, you don’t.

These people just have a problem with ME personally, and they are obsessed with finding something to fault me for even if I’ve never done anything wrong lol

I cannot emphasize that NO ONE is responsible for the harmful actions a predator does to a victim, unless they are KNOWINGLY AIDING THEM.

I am NOT at fault for what someone else does to harm minors. I cannot control that. I have gone

out of my way to out REAL predators. I have told adults that are friends with REAL minors that that behavior is fucking creepy.

To imply that I am “aiding predators” when I try to make a safe space for minors, when I put warnings in my bio, when I go out of my way to NOT

interact with known minors in ANY capacity is pretty disgusting.

This person is LUCKY I’m being kind by not revealing accounts. I am not “too anxious to namedrop” lol.

This particular person has shown this is a repeated behavior of theirs though, and it’s obviously personal.

These people are actively looking for a reason to demonize me— even going as far as to search thru a list I made as a joke months ago to find a problem— and are vagueing about me publicly and calling me creepy/predatory.

All because I said idc if minors follow me or consume my

content as long as they DONT INTERACT WITH ME.

I can’t police everyone who reads my content. It’s too exhausting to try. Minors know that NSFW spaces aren’t for them.

One last point:

Having the nerve to vague someone when they WILL fight back is funny. Pick a better target, because I bite and i’m “not too anxious”.

Better yet, target REAL predators who prey on children.
