The greatest trick Nationalists have pulled is to fool Scots that they are progressive and for social justice. 1/

When your politics starts with saying 'our nation is better than yours', it creates a vicious cycle. You can only ever improve your poor self esteem by ramping up even more hatred of the other. /3

You can't argue for social justice when your heart is filled with hate for your fellow citizens. 4/

You can't get to social justice through Nationalism, because their dream of a nation is always more important than your reality as a citizen. 5/

Imagine a politician from any other party saying that. They would rightly be shunned and rejected. Yet no action was taken against him. Because *his party thinks the same way.* /7

The trick is to say that they'll provide a better society *after* 'independence'. But they already have the tools to improve our society now. If they used them they'd simply show that devolution is working. And that will not do. /9

Instead they pay lip service to social justice and shift blame to Westminster for not giving them the 'levers' that they already have. /10

Nationalism is ALWAYS a dead end. All it does is give power to weak, incompetent and corrupt politicians who amplify grievance to create division and hate while pretending to care about social issues. /11

Nationalism is not about social justice. It's not about building 'a better nation'. It's about personal POWER. It's the same old divide-and-conquer strategy that we've seen time and time again across the ages. It's time Scots wised up and rejected the people who promote it. /end
