House Dems are reportedly drafting a resolution condemning Rep. MTG for comparing mask mandates to the Holocaust.
Maybe they should also include … @AOC? After all, distasteful Holocaust analogies are kind of her stock-in-trade.
@AOC “Words matter,” she says in congratulating herself for these analogies
@AOC Or what about co-Squader @RashidaTlaib, who offended the Jewish community after saying the Holocaust gives her a “calming feeling” because of the role her ancestors played in “trying to create a safe haven for Jews”
.@YouTube: Mothers having opinions about whether their children should be forced into masks “violates our community guidelines” and our “medical misinformation policy”
@YouTube I’ve updated Grabien’s post of this video w/ a transcript of the mother’s full comments. Can anyone find anything she says that contradicts WHO guidance on Covid, as YouTube/Google claims? Because I can’t.
@YouTube Parents are allowed to express opinions over whether their children should be forced into wearing masks. Parents' perspectives are a valid part of the public debate. This mother does not represent herself as a doctor or medical expert.
Flashback: Fauci dismisses idea Covid originated from the Wuhan virology lab --
"Very qualified evolutionary biologists have said that everything about the step-wise evolution over time strongly indicates that it evolved in nature and then jumped species.”
From a May 5, 2020 interview w/ Nat'l Geographic.
"If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats, and what’s out there now is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated — the way the mutations have naturally evolved"
Flashback: CNN’s @JohnJHarwood mocks Trump for suggesting Covid resulted from a Chinese "lab accident."
"Trump is that he’s running for re-election and is looking for ways to deflect blame for the performance of the administration"
Hi @mtosterholm — In March you predicted the worst of Covid was about to hit, saying “I want to be so wrong on this ... I will publicly celebrate me being wrong if this [surge] doesn’t happen, b/c I just wish we didn’t have to go through this.”
If Dems were interested in resolving the “root causes” of the Capitol riot, they’d support a commission probing all political violence in America. Not limited to the actors, but also the role lawmakers, and the media, play in hyping every issue as grave threats to our humanity 1/
The narrowly partisan aim of a "January 6th commission" reveals its actual intent, which is not to reverse the trend of political violence but rather to provide cover for Democrats to expand their power. 2/
Such an effort would only serve to exacerbate existing divisions and ultimately worsen these trends of political conflict.
It would also waste time and already-overstretched taxpayer resources. 3/
Best part is when Scarborough introduces Dr. Osterholm — who has been one of the most reliably inaccurate Covid forecasters from the get-go — and says he's “gotten this right all the way through”
In a failure of elementary logic, @mtosterholm frets: "The next question is going to be, How will we know if someone has been vaccinated? If you’re sitting close to someone at a restaurant or ... in a theater, how are you going to know that they’re not just kind of fibbing?"
Per @JoeNBC, here are some examples of @mtosterholm having "gotten this right all the way through"
1) At the outset, Osterholm said it's "nonsense" to wear masks/gloves to stop the spread of Covid
