On our way to Twickenham Stadium to get vaccinated 🥰
Anyone over 18 who can get there by 19:30 today can get a first jab!
I hate needles but it’s important to get vaccinated - make sure you get it at your first opportunity to! 🙌💉 #PfizerVaccine#twickenham#Vaccine
Streams of young people in the train station and all the way to the stadium. Don’t let anyone shift the blame to our generation - we’ll get it when we’re offered it!
🙌💉🙌
“Let’s see how many council staff I can unionise on the way in” -@nathanneilburns
Just made it to the end of the queue! Bigger than the ones I used to be in to get into Glastonbury. Almost everyone under 30! 💪 #Twickenham#PfizerVaccine
Queue still growing. Can’t film it from my position but the queue has grown and looped all the way down the main road behind us. Every time the train comes in at Twickenham dozens more arrive.
I’d guess and say I’m more worried we’ll run out of the 15,000 than waste any!
Nearly at the front now but the queue is still growing
Loooool what a terrible day for anti-vaxxers.
Can get here in the next hour? Join the queue! Every jab makes one anti-vaxxer cry.
We were queuing since 17:15 and at 19:00 they’ve just told us they’ve run out.
Absolutely gutted. @hollyiswright came home early from Cambridgeshire to get it today. Thousands just been turned away.
@BorisJohnson make them available to everyone now! 😭😭😭😭
Tired of the thousands of faceless accounts throwing threatening comments and misogyny about having children (?) my way.
No we may not be most at risk. But having had Coronavirus, I still haven’t got my taste fully back 6 months later, and my lungs are ruined.
Get a life.
It’s wholly unacceptable that thousands of throwaway accounts are able to pile on people with misinformation and wholesale abuse.
@TwitterUK where’s the option to report anti-vaccination misinformation accounts? Undermining public health in such a targeted way is insidious.

Probably going to have to turn down my Oxford PGCE offer because I can’t afford it on the student loan alone (and can’t work as it’s a full time job in schools!).
The Govt scrapping ££££ bursaries for English and humanities teachers only means wealthy students training. 🤷🏻♀️
This is a serious concern for anyone who cares about
A) the teaching of key subjects like history has wider critical thinking
B) meritocracy
C) the well-being of students, with staff who can empathise on the challenges of state schooling
2020/2021 versus 2021/2022. Horrible stuff. These bursaries were in place for a reason - so we can survive!
