(1,4) Just heard a really important discussion regarding gun sales and the increasing murder rate on @Morning_Joe. Thank you to @JoeNBC, @MikaKYV365, @WillieGeist, @TheRevAl & @SteveRattner. Would love to join the next time. Yes, there is a direct correlation between gun
(2,4) sales and this increase. Those of us who watch this were concerned all through COVID about this surge, for many of the reasons you discussed and others. These guns are often left unlocked or stolen and end up used by others. This is the reason I am also so concerned
(3,4) about the surge in ammo sales. Many prohibited buyers end up with the guns used in crimes and then walk into the store to buy the bullets as no background check required on that. #JaimesLaw would change that.
(4,4) @JoeNBC, let Mika know I agree with you on the need for supported & good police. We currently have 400,000,000 weapons on our streets with evil intending harm. Gun safety is for the community but it is also police safety.

(1,4) CUSTOMER ALERT!!! Do not buy any vehicles at @lorenzofordfl. I am looking to get Jesse a @Ford Mustang and decided to make this a learning experience for him. I had him go out on his own to shop and negotiate. With inventory limited, he has been searching online
(2,4) and ended up driving over an hour to Lorenzo Ford. When they gave him an offer above sticker with all added on dealer extras, he called me and put me on the phone. I explained to the sales person why that would not work and if that was the deal I told Jesse to leave.

(1,4) Just listened to attorneys in NC discussing the recent police shooting. I am upset. First, it's not accurate that only black parents bury kids from gun violence. Trust me, I buried my daughter. Second, they mentioned Parkland. I wish police lethally stopped her killer.

(1,4) Last week, the night before the House vote on HR8, I spoke with a Republican member of the house who voted yes the last time but was saying he would vote no this time and in fact he did. During our conversation, he told me he was angry that the bill had changed slightly.
(2,4) He was making an excuse because he feared voting yes. He also told me that it was not worth it to vote yes as he thought the bill was as he said "dead on arrival in the Senate." I replied that his assumption may be wrong as he has no control over the next mass shooting.
(3,4) Yesterday was the latest mass shooting. Today, the Senate Judiciary under the leadership of @DickDurbin will hold hearings. I urge the Senate to protect Americans. IT IS TIME TO SAVE LIVES!!! If Democrats need to do this alone, do so without the filibuster but do so.

(1,4) Jaime loved to mess with my cellphone. On random days throughout my calendar, she created a special day called “Love Jaime Day.” It was like Valentines day on steroids for Jaime and I. 3 years ago today and only weeks after Jaime was murdered, I was in Washington DC for
(2,4) my first visit to start working on gun safety. As I was walking into the Rayburn Congressional building, a calendar reminder went buzzed my phone. It was “Love Jaime Day.” As I write in my book Find The Helpers, I fell apart and sat crying in front of the Rayburn
